the fact that this guy keeps introducing these bills every session knowing full well they're going nowhere is honestly just performative garbage at this point, like he's doing it for the headline and the base reaction rather than any actual legislative intent. it's wild because it poisons the actual abortion debate that people have legitimate disagreements about, when you throw something this extreme into the mix it just becomes a circus that distracts from real policy conversations. glad his district finally had enough and primaried him out, because at some point voters get tired of a representative who's more interested in grandstanding than doing actual work for the district. the committee sending it to die is the right call but it shouldn't have to be his go-to move every session just to stay relevant.

The bill is dead and was never moving forward as even most republicans do not support it. We can stop posting this for the millionth time on here now.

How many times is this rage bait going to be posted? We have to be going on 20 now. This bill is dead in the water. Republicans are not supporting it. It is never going to make it out of the rules committee. It will never to be voted on, and the Representative has been primaried out of the election.

Maybe y I'm stupid but wouldn't that kill that fetus too. What is the end game here. I live in North Carolina and I'm baffled by how stupid they are up in Raleigh

This isn't a Raleigh problem. Blame the assholes from 79th district that keep voting him in.

So you're telling me I should kill pregnant women and assumingly their fetus to protect the fetus? I get it deters future seekers, but you really need to visualize this law in practice to understand how no one will enact it.
These politicians are so far up their own ass and divorced from normal reality.

State sanctioned murder! This is so beyond stupid! At least he's been primaried out and his ridiculous bill was sent to committee to die. How anyone can propose something that stupid is beyond me. He's a lame duck, as he so deserved!

There was this weird kid in my highschool who wore a trenchcoat all the time, smelled really bad, and said edgy shit just to piss people off. We genuinely got the feeling he hated everyone, so nobody liked him either. This is the kind of person I imagine Keith Kidwell is. He even looks the same.
I wish I could understand why and how hateful pieces of shit find their way into positions of power.

u/Apollo_Delphi Yes, we know this because this is like the 10th post this week about it. This bill will go no where because it is so outlandish and absurd that it has been sent to a committee to die and never be seen again.
Kidwell has been known to submit bills like this in every single legislative session but they always get sent to committe to die. The voters in his district finally got tired of him and primaried him back in March. So he is a lame duck represenative now.
He quite frankly is a blowhard asshole that deserved to be voted out of office
