41st Single Senbatsu Prediction

It will be about time soon that the next single senbatsu lineup is announced… while waiting, I have a rather wishful prediction with 18 member selection.

front row - about time we have all 5ki in front row!

second row - staple fukujin (endo kakki ume), the new gens (yada + setoguchi) and idk if management will be considering renka again… since she is still strong with meguri? otherwise, i would put her back row if she does return senbatsu!

third row - staple 5ki for our vice captain shokichi and young ace aya! returning ioki and tomisato because they deserve it. I really want tamura and hayashi back to senbatsu hence sacrificing yumiki… but lets be real. Management would not want both variety members (yumiki and okamoto) out, so i still think yumiki might be in… if she is in, then hayashi will be out.

if this is a 16-member lineup, and being realistic:

3rd row - yumiki, shokichi, mao, aya, tsutsui

2nd row - mayu/renka, setoguchi, kakki, endo, yada, ume

1st row - kawasaki, aruno, nagi, terepan, miku

I actually like this lineup but I personally would switch your Mayu/Renka spot with Satsuki just because I like the idea of our captains mirroring each other in the lineup. 🤭

If the rumor is true, then second row will be odd number of members as Ume will be taking the center position of 2nd row.

6ki will probably join senbatsu otherwise it would be too few members.

My guess is around 20 members for senbatsu with a formation of 8/9-7-4 or 8-7-5

I really hope for a new center. Otherwise, it's sad that Nagi will be the only 5ki center for long, while others members fully capable doing so. Also, would really love to see Renka and Mayu back to senbatsu. (Mao is like 99% chance back so I'm not too worry lol)

My (dream) senbatsu prediction:

5ki front-row with Nagi center, Hinano/Urumi senbatsu debut

I'd love to see a new 5ki center but both SakuMiku WCen or Aya solo cen seems more fit with summer songs so I go with another Nagi center with 5ki front-row.

But tbh if being realistic:

1st row: Nagi-Miku-Tere (the most famous 5ki) with EndoKaki secured their ACE position

2nd row: It could be Satsuki/Mao

3rd row: Hinano 1st senbatsu 3rd row center (just like Teresa), Yumiki and Mao on her sides create the Nogi tower at the back. Mayu and Runa back to senbatsu.

If they continue with 16-nin senbatsu then Mayu/Nao will be out, Aya next UC --> 42nd single center

i love both your formations! first formation front row is perfect. the most ideal front 5ki lineup anyone could wish for! i love how you include hinano, and her being flanked by yada and setoguchi at the back row is chef kiss. i would have no complain if the first formation becomes real!

second formation is the most realistic one. having the indisputable endo kakki as front, and everyone else seems fit in their place too!

If Aya gets UC in 41st, highly unlikely she will immediately get 42nd center straightaway :(

Hope Aya gets moved to fukujin in 41st, so theres a chance she gets center for summer single

It's going to depend heavily on whether the 6th gen are fully incorporated into senbatsu and undergirls or not. 3rd, 4th and 5th members together only add up to 25. Mitsuki and Moeka bring it up to 27.

That's not enough to expand the senbatsu beyond 16. We may see some of the remaining 6ki added, but not all. Or if all 6ki are added, but we assume Reina still on hiatus that brings it to 35. In that case i could see it going as high as 20 or 21 senbatsu

Next single is probably in mid-late April, exam for university entrance usually ends in Feb so it would be possible that Reina will return at next single.

She may need some time to catch up so maybe only participating 6ki song?

Here's my prediction line-up. I thought of Nogi bringing back 19ki formation and putting Yada-Setoguchi in front row, since they already solidified their position in the future senbatsu as staple front row/Fukujin. Nagi as center until management chooses another 5ki as center (hoping either Terepan or Aya)

Hayashi, Naonao, and Ioki will return in Senbatsu, with Okoshi and Morihira (both centered recent 6ki songs) selected for the first time. Yumiki would not be selected since 29th Single and would probs become Under Center.

Center: Ikeda Teresa Song: similar like “Mazariau Mono”

Front row is all 5ki, with terepan flanked by 5ki previous centers! Sakumiku solidifying their front row position

Middle row is endo kakki (4ki aces), setoguchi yada (6ki aces) and ume shokichi (captain and vice captain)

Back row is three 5ki and four 4ki. If they go with 19 members, then another 6ki may join the back row

i have been wishing for terepan center since 37th single, and if management sticks to their style, terepan might never get a center until her grad… i would like to be proven otherwise!

Mayutan isn’t coming back i don’t think and renka isn’t gonna be fukujin nor in senbatsu at all. Hayashi there’s a small chance but not likely
