Discussion 2026 Hopes, Fear and Prediction
I have not been able to access Stage48 forum recently, so I thought I would want to bring the thread here instead!
Discuss your 2026 hopes, fear and prediction for Nogizaka46! I will start:
Hopes - ioki, mayutan and hayashi back to senbatsu - endo or kakki center (which most likely will be their final…) - 5ki stay front member (betting on nagi, terepan, sakumiku) - song quality remained or improved, and general public interest increased - a catchy summer song, a nogizaka-esque song like synchronicity/hodoukyou/same numbers for either spring or winter single, and any genre for the remaining single - kaibe enter senbatsu. Loving her vocals and she prob can sound prominent in their title track
Fear - endo or/and kakki announce graduation - hayashi stays under until graduation - song quality drops…
Prediction - ioki back to senbatsu - 16 senbatsu formation might stay for a while, unless 6ki integrated to under which means we can have more senbatsu members - ume, endo, kakki graduate… - endo or kakki solo center (honestly 2026 feels like the last 4ki center. Same to 3ki last center by mizuki in 2024) - nagi solo center - mitsuki or yada solo center. Or another W-Center
being oshi of endo kakki at this point of time is just like sitting at the edge because their age is where most prominent members would graduate… and they have hit 7 years tenor in the group 🥹 it would be great if they could stay longer of course!

Hopes:
Hold BDL at Koukuritsu (National Stadium/MUFG)
Return to 18-member senbatsu
6th-gen to have their own skits show
Fear:
4th-gen bomba exodus in quick succession
Troll A-side like Chance no Byoudou
Prediction:
Summer Tour will be back to touring various domes
Urumin to be in senbatsu by 2nd single release of 2026
Captain Ume to grad

That's on a whole new level on its own.

i might be in the minority for liking Biryani! (i do love the actual dish too lol) my only comment is how cringy the lyrics are and prob only aya or moeka can comfortably sing them… seeing ume sing to this song, it must have been hard for her lol. The song itself is very catchy and it boosts me while running

Hope: + A senbatsu with every 5ki member (but not a graduation single pls 🙏) + Every 5ki member will be on front row at least once (Only Satsuki, Mao, TomiNao, Iroha and Okahina are the ones who haven't) + Please let the last two 5ki songs (Iroha/Aruno center) out of the basement soon so that we can have the first complete generation song cycle in Nogizaka history + A "surprise" 4ki center (not Endo or Kakki) (Although I'm Kakki's oshi, seeing a whole generation with only two members getting center is kinda sad, tbh) + Ume's graduation single to break the tradition of "Captain can't center" (she's deserved it) + Nagashima Rio gets in senbatsu (hyper-cope)
Fear: + Any 5ki graduation + Tiktok-vibe/AI-generated songs (please don't jump on any of these bandwagons)
Prediction: + Wcenter 5ki single + Senbatsu expansion to at least 18 + Wcenter Endo/Kakki single (if management continues to be a coward) + Riria and Ayatii are still competing to be the last remaining 3ki member :)))

I don’t think Endo will graduate in 2026. In one of her msg posts in early December, Endo congratulated the 4th generation on assembling for seven years. She later stated that she would also work hard into the eighth year. To me, this suggests that Endo is safe for 2026. But who knows—maybe I’m just being delusional.

Hopes:
- Aruno gets a solo song. A ballad like Na-chan's tsuribori or Asuka's takai kara no youni dakishimetai.
- New W-centers. Saku-miku or Aru-Terepan, or whatever they want to experiment.
- 5ki gen songs center for Iroha and Aruno, to complete the 5ki gen song list.
- more outside jobs opportunities for all members. model / radio / variety shows / TV dramas / movies...
- every nogizaka members to stay healthy and happy.
- fans too, to be happy and healthy and wealthy, and no more hateful comments against any member.

Ume has a second photobook coming out, I predict she announces her Graduation and she has a special concert during the next Birthday Live.
Speaking of Graduations, I also see Kakki, Endo, and very possibly Mayutan.
I can see a possible SakuMiku double center summer song.
I also see a change in their TV shows. I think in the next year or so we see a revamp of Nogi-Kojichuu, as Bananaman may announce THEIR graduation. Do comedians graduate? LOL. They are getting close to hosting a Nogi show for 15 years.

Yes the comedians MC can graduate. Back then in AKBingo!, it was Bad Boys from 2008-2016 then Woman Rush Hour until the end of the show.

Prediction:
- Ume’s graduation in the album “My Respect” (maybe even a center)
- 6ki inclusion in senbatsu for the 41st single (most likely are Hinano, Akari, Urumin and Mirine), and also to Unders
- Mayutan graduation
- Yadachan first solo center for the winter single
- Mitsuki first solo center for the summer single (if neither Sakuchan nor Kakki graduate)
Hopes:
- Naonao becomes a permanent senbatsu
- Renka again in senbatsu
- If the above doesn’t happen then a W Center of both for an Unders song.

I just simply hope they will continue to keep the brand successful. I don't really get fearing graduations since they are inevitable. I'm also not that concerned with senbatsu/center stuff, since they operate with 3 singles/year a lot of people will be disappointed as usual anyway. I think it's more important what songs they choose.

Hopes:
- 5ki dominate the front-line
- Nagi center with my dream front-line (Tere - Satsu - Nagi - Miku - Saku)
- One rotation senbatsu slot for 5ki (Iroha/Nao/Hina) so that each of them can experience senbatsu once a year.
- Ume for alb main song center
- Tamura back to senbatsu before grad
Fears:
- 5ki graduation announcement
- Kaki/Saku graduation at the end of the year
- Half of 4ki will be gone before they got the "generation senbatsu" for Saku graduation single.
- Stupid lyrics from AkiP
- Bunshun
Predictions:
- 1 Nagi solo center, 1 new 5ki center (SakuMiku or Aya), 1 Yada/Mitsuki solo center
- Ume grad --> Captain Satsuki
- Tamura or/and Yumiki grad
- 6ki integrated to under in 41st single, senbatsu will be 18nin with at least 3 slot for 6ki
- Aya under center (yes I predict Aya will go to under then get the center position at the end of the year like Asuka-route)
- Ioki back to senbatsu, Satsuki fukujin (the Ume's slot)

Hopes, fears and predictions for 2026
Hopes
-Title track like Seifuku no Mannequin or Inochi wa Itsukushii -terepan center
-Crazy title track like Sonna Baka na -yumiki centre
-1 title track with smallest senbatsu 10 members -focus on core members and public recognition
-Nogichuu to have summer vacation task (haven't give up my 2025 hope)
-Unit song-Miku - Aaya -idol colourful dance song like threefold choices
(haven't give up my 2025 hope)
-NOGIBINGO!
-Vest uniform
-Yuuna special nogichuu episode about giant things she likes.
-Nogichuu members hidden special talent episode, instrument etc.
-Vibrant colour sports t-shirt
-Nogichuu -Nogizaka Variety Training Course Part 2, Nogizaka Average Mark Queen Part 2- encouraging members to talk and getting to know members characters and mind
Fears
-ume graduate
-ayamen graduate and retire
-renka graduate and retire
-saku graduate and retire
-yumiki graduate
-bad song mixing
-plain costume design
Predictions
-mirine , urumin senbatsu
-nagi center , saku center
-aruno ,iroha, akari theater
-nao, mao, nagi, ume, terepan- drama or movie appearances

Prediction: Yoshida Ayano-Christie will stay in the group for the end of times 😆
