Text Xfinity leading to massive packet loss when gaming

I just got back from college and I set my rig up and when I start playing I’m experiencing massive packet loss and feeezes. For valorant I’m averaging 8k total per game. I’m dying because of it and it messes up my coms too.

My question is, how could I get around this? Should I try to just switch providers?

Switching providers seems like the best option for me atp but I might not have plugged my Ethernet in right?

Ethernet cable first before you do anything else, wireless is gonna tank you with that packet loss.

fair, then check if your router's close to your rig or if there's interference, sometimes that's the culprit before blaming the isp.

I agree Ethernet should be tried first, but really the wifi shouldn’t be dropping packets like this. Either there is some interference, the provider sucks, or the router is faulty.

8k packet loss is actually insane lol, id definitely check the ethernet cable and router first before switching providers. could also be bad modem signals or old hardware, xfinity can be really hit or miss depending on the area

I recently just switched from Verizon to xfinity mobile, had no problems before. Now I can’t play online without lagging like crazy. I’ve got 1000mbps with Ethernet, still lag. Just changed out the box today and it still happens
