Selfie Taking down 6 week old twists

Does anyone else start paniking when taking down your hair because shrinkage always fools you and you realize you have so much hair? 🤣

These twists med size were put in on April 16th no hair added. I washed them every week or every two weeks w clarifying shampoo, moisture shampoo, conditioner. Used aphogee leave in spray and grease. Gave ends extra tlc with more leave in, grease every other day or three days.

I was in a good mood today and so took down my twists, using (a bit unhinged) but lotta body foam.

I've pictured the amount of hair collected from detangling (i'm sure there will be more on wash day). Of note, i lost more hair at the front as i got more impatient 😆 esp with the smaller twists.

There was some matting at the root but the foam gave me enough slip to break up the point between old and new growth.

I hate when people have these fake "only this much hair came out" videos and pictures. It gives everyone else a complex thinking their hair is falling out. If you had those in for 6 weeks, just by virtue of still being alive, you should have more shedding than that. ...but tbh a dead person would still have more. Just be truthful. I had no issue with your post and was going to compliment your hair, until I got to those pics.

I'm not sure how that would make others feel like their hair is falling out. I feel like people should know how much they naturally shed since they take down styles and wash. I don't compare my hair shed to others because everybody is different and involves too many different variables to try and compare.
