Who do you think could be the next... (S23 Spoilers Ahead) Spoiler

I've been thinking about what could be interesting in terms of who could be the next Director and I had a couple of ideas that I'd LOVE to see.

The Office-Esque Route

I was thinking about when Michael Scott left, and how they had two episodes that a bunch of famous comic actors guest starred in, and I thought it could be pretty interesting to see, sort of, old faces from the NCIS Verse fill in as interim Director for a couple of episodes each.

Pride, Tennant, Callen, DiNizzo, etc.

Just a sort of, "we can't fill this spot because all of these motherf*ckers keep dying, so this is what we're reduced to" kind of thing until they settle on someone permenant.

Especially with how much Vance was loved, I think it would also ease us into the new guy. I.E. It's big shoes to fill.

Feng Zhao

Knight's dad. Simply for the drama of it.

We already know he's kind of responsible for the Jimmy/Jess demise.

Having her dad in charge of her is going to cause some drama.

Parker is basically her work dad, so having him and her actual dad there could be pretty funny.

If, which it seems they are, unfortunately, they go the Torres/Knight route, even if it's the same old "are they going to, are they not" ON TOP OF Jimmy still being down bad, adding her dad in there and him seeing all of that going on would also be pretty funny.

We also haven't ever seen family members work together on the show, and it would add a new layer of angst that I think could be interesting.

NCIS This may sound crazy, but ...

I'd love to see Hetty Lang as the new director. I know it won't happen, but I think it would be great. She doesn't have to be in every episode, but her presence would certainly be felt. Or maybe a story arc where she's nominated, but has to go through the confirmation process (do the real directors have to do that?) but her past comes back to derail that. Your thoughts?

NCIS McGee and Dinozzo brief love story?

I may be remembering this wrong, but in Season 7, Episode 19 ("Guilty Pleasure"), McGee and DiNozzo were supposed to go on a date that ended up falling through, although I don't remember why.

At the end of the episode, DiNozzo was supposed to go out with the private investigator, and Ziva asked him if it was a serious date. He replied with something like, "Men don't fall in love with each other," while kind of laughing to himself (I mean, it was obvious he was lying).

What do you all think? Are they both bisexual?

I'm pretty sure Ziva is, because during Seasons 5–6 she was seeing a woman named Blanca for a while, wasn't she?

Let me know what you think.

NCIS Jenny

Jenny has always been my favorite character, even with all her flaws. I always felt like it was a huge tragedy for Jenny to have been written the way she was, particularly in season 4. I’m sure the writers strike during her time on the show lended to the loss of direction with her character, but even before that it seemed like the writers were loosing their sense of direction with her.

My question is, had there been more consistency with her character (and with Lauren Holly staying longer, of course) do you think she would have been a truly viable love interest for Gibbs?

It always felt like such a tragedy that there was some very real chemistry between them, and it always made me sad that, as Mike put it, her last stand was to protect Gibbs. Her major flaws aside, I think her character genuinely viewed Gibbs as the love of her life (obviously just my interpretation, totally get if anyone disagrees).

Anyway, thoughts?

NCIS Office background sound effects

Anyone else notice that every time they're in the main office there's non-stop ringing phones in the background? Even when it's night and no one else is in the office?

Bit like every change on a computer screen is accompanied with a nonsensical 'chirp', has the person adding sound effects been tasked to fill every second of audio background to re-enforce our understanding of where they are?

Csllen gets exposed to a nerve toxin? And immediately seals the lab door he is in to prevent the spread with same on the other side.

I think he has a woman at gunpoint who then smashes the vial onbthe ground to escape possibly.

NCIS:LA Thoughts on the Admiral in LA

I remember when it started transitioning to him running the team.

I thought he was a poor replacement, to start with. But I like his thoughts on food and the current generations.

Plus he just fit really well with the team.

What do you think?

This just occurred to me, that the actor who plays Mateo on NCIS also had a pretty big part on The Rookie.

And in both, he plays a weasel.
Poor guy is going to get type cast!

NCIS Anyone Interested in More Realistic “NCIS”? (More Explanation out of Title)

Anyone in the NCIS fan base maybe interested in maybe seeing an NCIS film or like 4 or 5 part mini series that would be separate from the current NCIS franchise. The original series did have some real moments but at times feels NCIS can be little “sensationalist.” I think an NCIS somewhat more grounded but written well could be interesting but just thought I’ve had.

NCIS Parker needs a Girlfriend

Ok so I’ve been giving this some thought and honestly I think Parker needs a girlfriend and frankly I think it would be a perfect fit to have Christine Branski from The Good Fight because her and Gary Cole have such great chemistry it would be fun!

NCIS What are your top five episodes?

If you could only rewatch a very limited playlist, what would be on it? I have no idea what my specifics would be, but there would definitely be at least one with the original team (still miss you, Kate), also one or more with Ziva. Every time I try to figure out my favorites, I get lost in rabbit holes.

SPOILERS Jean Benoit S4-S5 Poor Girl Spoiler

Jean Benoit really went through it!

I just rewatched S4E15 “Friends and Lovers” [episode spoilers] where we meet Jean’s ex. The thread throughout the episode is that Jean’s ex keeps bothering her and he’s desperate to get back together but she keeps trying to tell him it’s over which is causing some friction between Jean and Tony. Meanwhile Tony is working a case with this guy from the local PD, John. The big reveal at the end is that the guy Tony is working with and the ex that won’t leave Jean alone are the same guy.

At one point, while working the case, Tony and John sort of bond over their “commitment issues” 🙄 John confesses that he slept with his fiancés best friend and screwed up the best thing he ever had.

At the end of the episode, John is shot and killed in the line of duty, but before he died he sent Jean a message saying he understands now that she doesn’t want to be with him and he says goodbye. In some ways it’s nice that she got that closure with him before he died.

[S4-5 Spoilers] But I’m rewatching and realizing, wow Jean really got put through the wringer! Her fiancé and best friend betray her so deeply - I mean that would be hard to get over! Then she falls for Tony, only to later learn that he’s betrayed her trust in a different but also awful way. Oh and by the way, she learns that her dad is an international arms dealer! And then he gets murdered!? Wild.

Seriously, poor girl.

NCIS Where to watch NCIS Seasons 6-8, and Seasons 14-20?

I'm currently in the Philippines, and Paramount is not accessible to me. Is it streaming else where? I am only watching the other seasons via Prime Video and it's incomplete, hence the ask.

NCIS Disguised as wife?

Looking for this episode where the husband has killed his wife and then moved and had his girlfriend pretend to be his wife.

The plan was that he would have an alibi for when she (the girlfriend disguised as the wife) went missing.

I think his wife had also inherited a lot of money and she found out about the affair and was going to leave him, so he killed her.

Can someone help me find this?

Thank you
