a lot of Stone Ocean is about Weather Report.

alot of the other parts of Stone Ocean is about Anasui

(yes Anasui is a MAN despite how much he's serving right now)

Ehhh ,the main cast of stone ocean is jolyne,Hermès,ff(who dies early),emporio,weather,anasui and jotaro so it’s more male characters than females so I wouldn’t really count stone ocean for this

I wouldn't really count Jotaro as a main character of Stone Ocean in the same way as I would for Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable.

also when the manga came out it was pretty split on Anasui (though confirmed he was a man in the anime)

either way it's more of an even split than anything (because Weather dies before Jotaro comes back and he wasn't introduced until after WhiteSnake took Jotaro's discs)

Yeah but also jotaro is basically the driving force of stone ocean ,pucci ‘s plan needed jotaro’s memory and jolyne a goal at first was to save her father and the main cast would have died way sooner if wasn’t for jotaro (same for Diu) he’s practically the overarching protagonist of stone ocean so I’d count and weather yeah he does earlier but he saved jolyne in prison aswell as take down ungalo and be factor that helped emporio take down pucci same reason why ff is still part of the main cast

I mean as an active character, he's absent for 90% of the part after the discs were taken and he takes the spot of Weather after Weather dies. so he wasn't really a core part of the Stone Ocean cast (it would be like considering Koichi part of the Bucci gang)

Yeah I guess but also koichi could be removed from golden wind but the story wouldn’t really change that much I guess polpo wouldn’t die but remove jotaro and story doesn’t even happen

Jotaro is more of a mentor character in P4 and an ace in the hole in P6, he has all of 2 episodes in the beginning and goes COMPLETELY AWOL until Pucci fight.

Besides, Jolyne is *very* firmly the most developed character so I feel like male characters don’t necessarily have the dominant focus, just that weather report has a very significant arc
