Vhi payment thru phone

I'm moving to Ireland as a student and was looking for insurance. I got a call from a VHI agent . I really think they have a good budget plan. I was about to buy it but the agent told me they only accept payment thru phone. Is this true? Has anyone paid them thru phone? I cant find any payment link online. TYIA
