Election 2026 Least crazy Republicans to vote for in the primary, part 2.

Same question, different district. Hit me with the deets on Charles Walking Child, Kurt Alme, and Lee Calhoun. We may be stuck with Downing, but maybe we can get the least wacky of these as competition for whichever Dem is left standing.

For what I could gather, Calhoun is probably the most moderate. Non GOP beliefs like Universal Healthcare and funding schools well.

I’d be very surprised if Alme doesn’t get it, unfortunately. For all the GOP voters exclaim liberty, they’ll go to the polls like sheep for the guy Daines crowned as successor. Very democratic.

Calhoun also isn't taking any dark money and supports the Montana Plan (1-194) and will try to get that federally (though corporations are a state thing so idk what the possibilities are for that). Might as well try to get Alme defeated.

Speaking on that, please go sign the petition for I-194. Signature gatherers are in Helena at the Farmers Market every Saturday, and the Lewis and Clark Library Wednesdays from 5-7. This is good for all us actual people.

Calhoon is a G, 100 percent has my vote.

For PSC I'm going Annie Bukacek, she's crazy for sure but not MAGA crazy and is genuinely a good person that cares about her constituents in her own special way. Annie also takes the time to talk about specific policy and keep Montanans updated on what's going on (check her web page), I can respect that rather than vague promises of transparency and keeping rates low. Sanders is a lazy brown noser that likes to hear himself talk without actually saying much, and Dooling is a morally bankrupt clown from what I can tell.

Doesnt matter, Alme going to win by a landslide.

Alme will win and it’ll be interesting to see what he does because he’s a genuine, hardworking, and compassionate guy. Will he maintain the famous GOP discipline still hanging around from the McConnell era and drag his soul through the slop every day or occasionally break rank and vote like the guy I’ve experienced him to be?

He'll be a freshman Senator with no experience or influence. He'll bend the knee and vote with the national party line no matter how much it fucks over his own state, just like every other right wing stooge elected from here.

I know many people who are pleasant, smart, and fine co-workers, but are completely at odds with all of my political stances.

I'd rather vote for a straight up bitch if I knew she would fight for my rights.

Uhm…I’m not voting for the man in the GE. I’m simply responding to the person who wanted to know who the least crazy Republican is. Please read the prompt, sir.
