Remember when rosendale pretended to be a rancher and used his neighbors barn and cattle in his commercials?

However Gianforte’s, Sheehy’s, and Daines’s authenticity goes unquestioned.
And these days $1.6M in Montana is a pretty modest “estate.” Lots of estates in downtown Bozeman by that metric.

1.6M is really nothing in terms of a lifetime. I am not sure why this is even news.

That's the value of his house, which he was unwilling to use in an ad because it would make him look out of touch to Montana voters.

It says something that Busse would really be on the low end of wealth compared to all of the Republican politicians currently running this state.

Any working cattle rancher’s property in the state would be appraised at well above $1.6M. Would you call those “estates” as well?

He's not a rancher. He's just a rich yuppie. Keep slopping it up for him.

It says why right in the url.

My point, is why does it raise authenticity questions.
So what, the guy has a very modest estate.
In short, it is just click bait.

Meant that it’s Fox News who pretends to worry about candidates filming on a generic commercial set and like $1.6M is some lavish estate. Meanwhile, they position GOP billionaire grifters as the championships of the common man.

u/IndividualStep9314 26d ago
Then why is he misleading voters?
13
u/MizterBucket 26d ago
I don’t think it’s misleading, it’s more of not wanting to turn his house into a commercial filming set and had this access to the kitchen to shoot in instead. Maybe a curious strategy and messaging decision for someone trying to present as “authentic” but not as nefarious as Fox News is trying to claim.

Well at least he's not wearing a performative cowboy hat and waving his performative Bible around

u/IndividualStep9314 26d ago
It's stuff like this that will cause him to lose badly in a general election. This guy is unelectable in Montana.

We've seen what IS electable so that's not really saying a lot.

“The inauthenticity of Busse’s ad reflects a pattern we’re seeing in races across the country — America's last elites trying to hide their true identity and agenda because their policies and values don’t resonate with the values and experiences of everyday Americans," added Ashley Hayek, president of America First Works.”
America First Works is a republican 501(c)4 aka dark money group. This is an attack ad disguised as an “article” likely planted/paid for by a group heavily aligned with supporting Trump’s agenda.

I’m not sure if promoting a Fox News story and getting this content more clicks is the right direction. Everyone with half a brain knows that Fox News isn’t real news and zero journalism happens there. It’s nothing more than a propaganda arm of the GOP and they only preach to their geriatric readership. Ignore it and it stays siloed.

So billionaire owned mainstream media is your jam. Where are all the stories about how wealthy Daines and Sheehy are and how they vote every single time to give more money away to billionaires while leaving the rest of us in the dust?
-2
u/IndividualStep9314 23d ago
Daines and Sheehy aren't up for election. Are you obtuse?
4
u/Montana_Matt_601 23d ago
Why does that matter? And when they are, will the media run stories about their obscene wealth and about their votes that hurt middle class Montana and benefit the wealthy?

u/IndividualStep9314 23d ago
Justify your support for Busse however you want. He's just a rich neolib that will screw over average Montanans.
5
u/Montana_Matt_601 23d ago
Rich republicans are screwing over Montanans. I just filled up my gas tank and thought about all the promises to lower costs of living made by republicans. They control everything and this is what we get.
1
u/IndividualStep9314 23d ago
And a rich Democrat is going to be any different? You're delusional. Keep telling yourself that your Daddy, Busse, gives one damn about you.

u/Montana_Matt_601 23d ago
Don’t project a lack of principles onto progressives. We don’t worship politicians.
If Democrats abuse women, appear in the Epstein files, push to sell our public lands, give away tax breaks and subsidies to billionaires, accept dark money from wealthy foreign interests, or get us into an unjustified war (at the behest of Israel) that skyrockets the price of fuel, we’ll be the first to criticize them.
1
u/IndividualStep9314 22d ago
Then why can't you say it's ridiculous for a Democrat to attempt to make himself appear relatable by making his campaign manager use their house for a campaign ad? Why is it so hard to just be honest? Busse won't even confirm if it's his house or not.

Meh. Who cares. The day I watch any political ad expecting "authenticity" is the day you can wheel me off to Shady Pines Assisted Living where I'll spend the remainder of my days having my ass wiped and complaining about the 5G signal "they" put in my oatmeal. Fox News is for morons and shills.

Commandeering a staffer’s home more than fitting for this “George Costanza For Congress” campaign - which is largely centered around a bored unemployed guy running to get out of the house because his wife is probably sick of him lounging around living off her public relations firm paychecks.
He had a big problem releasing his tax returns last time out - have we seen any this cycle?
