Middletown Expat ✈️🌎 WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?????

This sub is being taken over by fembots!

My theory is that now that war has been declared, the powers that be don’t want this subreddit to easily searchable. Just in case anyone has anything negative to say about a certain hometown individual.

Crazy the amount of response and updoots it gets. I've never seen the sub so alive

a lot of those responses are likely bots, as well

It fucking gets me because it reminds me of tots on Facebook that post thirst traps and then the married men come out of nowhere with their fantasies 😂

Earlier today I seen one and this dude straight upset " I can tell by the hair color you're a liberal but everybody knows liberals reset buttons are at the back of their cervix"

Absolutely unhinged man

Yup there used to be two mods, I was the second one, until the past guy decided to kick me out back in August. I didn’t get any notification of any kind that he was considering removing me, he just did it one day out of the blue. I asked why, he didn’t have the balls to tell me. IMO it was a dick move, but I guess because I wasn’t “top mod” my removal at any time for no reason with no explanation whatsoever was fair game for him to do. It’s dumb, but whatever. I have my statement in now for reinstatement, would love to come back, and agree this subreddit needs at least two mods.

Honestly I’m shocked it’s gone on this long without spam bots. When I modded I had to remove spam posts maybe 2-3x a week. The other mod would never log into Reddit. So if there were any issues, there’s no way he would ever even be able to catch them because he wasn’t here. It was all me. So r/middletownohio has been basically unmoderated for the past six months. I guess we were all lucky it was a low traffic subreddit and didn’t catch spammer attention earlier.

Fun idea, but seems more likely to me that the subreddit has literally only one mod, and one mod that seems to be kinda checked out. The bots are just taking advantage. Glad they're recruiting for more, at least.

Hopefully we'll get some attention on it soon, but if not I'm down to just abandon this place

I'm moderately new to posting on reddit, what are signs that it's a bot or what would tip you off to a bot?
