Discussion Is anyone else’s McDonald’s just like high school with drama?(USA)

My co workers always be dating each other and they always yelling. The other day my manager was on call breaking up with her boyfriend when I was clocking it, and she was mad her entire shift. Also my coworkers always be asking if I smoke. It’s like a high school bathroom. The manager who broke up with her boyfriend on the clock trained me my 2nd day and asked if I smoke, and asked if I smoke like she isn’t a manager there. They always on sum bs.

mine is like that, except its everyone yelling at eachother and making fun of eachother and shit talk and yelling and people getting mad and not doing their job. im 21 and was a crew trainer and the managers do nothing about it . its all immaturity there and recently lots and lots of teenagers were being hired and i just couldn’t do it and left. I feel bad i left them before RGR which is in june and i was their grill person but it just wasn’t the same mcdonalds i was used to

Mine is kind of similar except instead of coworkers dating each other. It's a bunch of different families working together so, word travels fast around the store but, it's not FULL of drama. Just the usual talking smack about the employees that always call off and somehow still has a job and, how off our District mananger is. The asking if you smoke sounds more like they're either looking to bum a smoke off of you or, in the manager who trained you case, wondering if you smoke so they can gauge if you need a smoke break. I use e-cigs and I can't tell you how many times I hear "Can I hit your vape?". We're pretty much all adults. Buy your own if you're of legal age and if you're not, you shouldn't be touching it to begin with 🤦🏻‍♀️

I work with alot of highschoolers but it’s not even them that causes the drama it’s literally the managers

I’m 40… many of my coworkers are younger than med the exception would be the line cooks those are older Hispanic women. And I’ve got a supervisor who’s older. Everyone else is younger and it’s pretty obvious. The work ethic is down right pitiful these kids are lazy AF. I’m not one to play the hero either so I’m not trying to pick up anyone’s slack. But honestly there are tons of work places that are full of drama. My job prior to this one was with the school bus department and that shit was awful bunch of tattle tale Brown nosers just horrid
