Post image
44 Upvotes

In the season's first team challenge, chefs compete to see who will make the starting lineup, trading in their mystery ingredients for a chance to score big. This massive mission brings the FIFA World Cup 2026 to the Masterchef kitchen as the cooks team up with the U.S. Soccer Federation to serve lunch to 101 hungry kids coming straight off the field. With a special guest judge and Gordon Ramsay as the honorary goalkeeper, the heat is on, and only one team will walk away with the immunity pin.

Discussion Natasha fighting with Beth in season 4 was hilarious

(Paraphrased)

Natasha: You never insult someone else’s dish! I would never say such a thing about other people’s food. Not even your food.

Beth: cries

Natasha: But I will now!

Beth: SOBS

Probably my favorite scene in the series.

Discussion Hi there y'all so my Masterchef binge watch continues as a new fan of the show.. I just finished Season 10 Episode 5, and so far this is shaping to beat S7 and S4 to be my most favorite one!

First of all, i am just so happy that they instantly ditched that Mentor gimmick bullsht which really turned me off from watching Season 9 (so i skipped that after Ep10)

Auditions Eps, right off the bat i am instantly hooked on S10, i love the way they focused more on the contestants who made it and less airtime on those who don't, the Battle Pass. I loved it! Plus factor is that they made some of the winning chefs (Shaun, Christine & Jennifer) appear right away in the pilot ep who i all adored!

Then came on the Ep3, the first elimination of the Top 20 contestants, thank God they now know how to divide airtime from the contestants, I really appreciate that we got to know the contestants, coz for the longest time there are some that really was done so bad coz the whole time they were invisible and only got airtime when they are getting eliminated.

And Ep5 is genuinely one of my all time fav episodes easily coz not only they brought back many contestants from all the past nine seasons (Mygosh, Jessie is really my girl! My eyes light up literally the moment she appeared onscreen, Shaun, Olivia, Tommy, Derrick & Eric!!!! etc.) , we also had easily one of the iconic and genuinely funny moment in MasterChef history with Suhbah, Suhbah is sinking his team in the challenge by not doing anything, cant stop free tasting all their foods) then Chef Gordon became angry and asked him to water his plants for him to contribute something 😂😭

Lastly, a genuine carefree moment with Chef Gordon and Joe diving in the pool with the contestants like a kid, in the entire past seasons i never saw both of them like this. The way Gordon Ramsay splashing in the water and afterwards Joe trying to drown him was comedy gold😂😂

Hopefully, the fun and excitement of me watching Season 10 continues! Coz honestly i have no complaints!

Discussion Gordon Ramsey not mentioning the kitchen is in Canada like last season when they are in the Australian set.

Just like last season, Gordon Ramsey didn't mention that they are in MasterChef Canada Kitchen I wonder why?

Like last season they filmed it in Australia kitchen and even borrowed the set too but why Gordon didn't' mention it in intro

Like should be this in S15 "This time the kitchen is now in Australia and have different challenges ahead of them"

Now same as S16 he should mention that they are in Canada even though they gave the set props and fixures to the Canadian production of Mastechef. Is there a reason to it?

Discussion Episode 7 shot in Canada?

Noticed this episode was shot in Brampton, Ontario at the Brampton Soccer Centre. Is this entire season filmed in Canada? Had no idea

Does anyone hate the "worst dish per region" selections?

What I'm talking about is that the judges tend to choose one worst dish per region and pick who's going home amongst the four. But what if two of the worst dishes are from the same region?

Joe Supremacy lil Joe

Rewatching some old seasons for the first time.

I love during a team challenge when Joe brings food back to the kitchen, says something sassy, and throws the plate down.

I just wouldn’t be able to take him seriously acting like that.

Gordon gets away with and would make me cringe in fear / shame. Not sure why it works that way.

What is going on with Graham’s hair in the earlier seasons

Watching older seasons. I really like Graham. He’s my second favourite judge on the American iteration, but dude is that what was in style back then.

Discussion Hell Yeah, Global Gauntlet!!

Yeah! Let’s make….Fried chicken sandwiches and a smash burger for children with no global flair.

Like, really? Between that and eggs benedict, as Gordon might say “What are we ON ABOUT here?”

Also, I’d love to never hear Gordon say “Let’s Gooooah” with that affect again

Discussion I'm on Episode 10 in Season 9 rn, and this is the first time out of all the nine seasons that i'll say this.. i'm BORED!Should i still continue?! (I also have lots of complaints)

I'm so glad the Top 24 format is finally back and Joe's back (but i'm missing Christina so bad, loved her)

But why the fuk is this season lowkey feels like The Voice with the Mentor gimmick but not like The Voice that they executed it perfectly, this feels like a cheap copy on the Mentor aspect.. It also just makes the eliminations devoid of thrill, especially everytime the judges saying, "it looks like blah blah, you're about to lose another home cook" oh gosh!!! also it kinda made Joe lacklustre?! I loved him coz because from prev seasons he was like the one judge to fear of the most (bc of his throwing plates, spitting food and very intimidating persona) He really spiced up the eliminations, but here he just became a little to no personality. And lastly, it literally added NOTHING?! I FKING HATE THIS MENTOR GIMMICK, please tell me this will be the last time they will add this bullsht

And also most of the contestants are so boring?! Except for Shanika who is the only one trying to save this mess of a season in terms of personality (i love her sass!) then some of the eliminations esp the last ep (Ep 9) Matt going home over Gerron?! whose by far the worst out of the top 20?! who just kept on being saved???! And lastly, the whole bunch of contestants are overall so weak in terms of the talent in cooking, It feels like Cesar, Emily, Julia, Matthew and SJ are the only ones who are strong.

Meh, the moment they introduced the mentor gimmick. I know, this will not end well.

Opinion Chef Tiffany's wardrobe

Who is chef Tiffany's stylist? They need to be fired yesterday!!! This has been going on since LAST season!! I don't want to sound like the mean girl. I absolutely love Chef Titfany. She is a beautiful black female chef (as we all know) but her stylist is doing her a great disservice..

Opinion About the recent immunity pin win Spoiler

While I think Dave did deserve the immunity pin, it would've been nice if the top three performers were called to the front, and the best performer would win the immunity pin instead of just handing the immunity pin to the captain. The judges would call out the bottom three from the losing team, so they should've done something like this for the winning team. That way, if a team wins but the captain didn't do the best job, then the best performer of the winning team gets the pin. That is just my opinion.

Question No Pressure Test this season? Spoiler

The current episode shows there is no pressure test as every losing team challenge indicates that if a team loses, they will face a pressure test which who will be eliminated

In the current season as of the latest episode, there is no pressure test yet again which the last one was last season which was filmed in Australia.

So I wonder if this is again a budget cut or they are just lazy to do a pressure test because it can cost one episode just like last season?

I just hope they will return the pressure test next season not just eliminating base on what they just seen.

Me and my wife (not a regular watcher) watching Joe critique today lmaoooo I personally don’t mind Joe

My wife: Shut up! I hate that guy….is he a chef? Or is he just a bitch?!

Me: laughs

My wife: Is he a chef? Of what, dick?

Me: I think he’s a chef and a restaurateur in Italian food (I know now he’s not a chef)

Question Why was Canada not included in Global Gauntlet?

I noticed that there weren't any Canadian chefs featured, nor was there any mention of Canada in the Americas episode. I'm so confused.

Question Do the contestants get culinary training off camera?

I watched my way through S13 after not having watched MC in a long time and it felt all the way up to the finale they were very shaky cooks.

And then the finale hits and they conceptualize a 3 dish Michelin star level menu and execute it. Confusing. I get it's a reality show though and perhaps it's just the bad moments cherry picked.

I think I'm gonna go back to season 1 and start again though because I remember the single digit seasons being enjoyable
