So I caved and bought a new blush palette the other day… I was cleaning out my draws and found some unused gift cards so I thought “this is a sign, it’s finally time” and went in search of a Nars blush palette. I justified the purchase by telling myself it’s basically free (with gift cards) and I don’t want to miss out this time around on the holiday palette (I successfully refrained from purchasing the Hourglass Swan Palette last year).

I’ve been testing out the blush palette and I really do like it. My only regret is that I really don’t need more blush in my life. I’ve never come close to panning a blush before and my collection seems to be ever growing. I’ve been working on trying to pan my oldest hourglass blush (8 years old) but i feel like i’m barely putting a dent into it. i’m trying to rotate my other blushes to get use on them but it feels a little disheartening to think that i might never reach my blush pan goals. i’m considering abandoning the idea of keeping blush in my project pan…

I am most likely the oldest person in this subreddit. I don't think I have ever finished a blush, bronzer.

It was a gift card, and you purchased an item that you like. If I gave you the gift card, I would want you to be happy with your purchase.

Trigger warning [advice] Break the colours into seasons and rotate them quarterly. Throw out any over three years old.

I work on a one in, one out basis. Bring something new into the home? Recycle something that needs to be retired.

Your logic is sound, re: the gift card spending. You like the product, it works for you. Try not to give yourself too much grief.
