Longhorns + Tigers family: should I come to the game in November?
Longhorns + Tigers family: should we come for the game this fall?
So, i grew up an LSU fan and still am to this day. But I'm a Texas alum and the Longhorns are my main team now. I enjoyed the 2019 game watching at home, "just hoping for a good game", but this year I've got high hopes for my Longhorns. I'm thinking of traveling to Baton Rouge for the game. My dad, in his 70s who is a Tigers fan would like to go with me and other family members.
What I'm trying to figure out is, should we do this? As strange as it would feel for me to come to Tiger Stadium as a visiting fan, I would be at the very least wearing a Texas hat if not full shirt. The two teams don't have any historical animosity but both might very well be in the SEC and CFP hunt in November. I can handle some ribbing from Tigers fans, but I'm wondering if it might be a sour experience if I get more thorough harassment. If it's a night game, which I fully expect it will be, who knows?
An option is to wear grey Longhorns gear, or wear both teams colors (seems lame?). Appreciate any advice on whether we should go or tips if I do.

Maybe things have changed, but I don’t ever remember LSU fans being mean. Good natured rubbing, and a lot of it, so if you or your fam is defensive (like my poor buffalo-born husband gets) it’s probably not going to be fun. But if we can say “roll tide roll, round the bowl and down the hole!” then share our food with them, I imagine we’ll be nice to longhorns too. :)

If you’re a Texas alum, go, wear burnt orange and root for your Longhorns, if it’s a night game in Death Valley with UT coming in for the first time the atmosphere will be electric.
