Which player is wearing 18 and 7 this year?
(Off topic)
Last few days my coworkers came up and asked me whoes wearing the jersey number 18 and 7 this year, I usually know this kind of stuff, by this time of year we should know by now, I looked at the Spring depth charts and dont see anyone wearing those numbers, any idea? This is driving me crazy

I saw an article saying Weeks and Green were getting them. I can’t remember which was which though.

I think Whit wearing #18 is pretty close to a sure thing... I think Ty Benefield & Trey'dez Green are the top candidates for #7. If Lane holds over BK's preference for #7 being a Louisiana guy, that puts Trey'dez firmly in pole position.

It isn’t BKs preference it has always been a Louisiana born player that gets #7

So which Louisiana town/city was Patrick Peterson born in? 🤔
Edit: To be fair, most of the guys who wore #7 as a symbol WERE Louisiana natives... But the only thing I can find about it being a hard requirement for the #7 was under BK. Both Peterson & Ali Highsmith (the guy who wore it before Pat P) are from Florida.

The number 7 tradition as we know it was started with Pat Pete

I’m just saying, as far as I know every person since has been Louisiana born, so i would say it is pretty much a requirement

also delpit was born in new orleans but was 6 when Katrina forced them out to Houston. same with Perkins, who wasn't even a year old when they moved there.

Other than Whit Weeks being #18 I’m totally cool with there being no #7.
I understand it’s tradition or whatever, but that’s only because the guys who wore the number in the past were absolute dogs who just so happened to be the #7, the last few years tho it’s been like, Ja’Marr Chase who then opted out of the season, Derek Stingley who missed most of the year with injury, Kayshon Boutte who proceeded to have his worst season as a Tiger, Will Campbell was a dog but couldn’t even wear the number & Harold Perkins who never managed to reach his full potential. Like I’m okay with just not having one

Whit probably a lock for #18 but it all depends on if Kiffin keeps BK’s tradition of #7 being a Louisiana native (hope he doesn’t) candidates are probably Pickett, Trey’Dez, and maybe even Berry or Durham

18 for Whit would make a lot of sense from what we can see on the outside. 7 traditionally goes to player from LA, so that'd rule out DJ. Trey'dez could be a good fit IMO.
