this is probably a negative post in parrarel to the usual posts here, but just to clarify NO THIS IS NOT A WAGURI HATE POST. I am more addressing the fandom, may or may not be downvoted by a lot.

But personally I think the fandom glazes waguri a bit TOO much. Now, again, don't get me wrong, I love waguri as a character. But all the tiktok comments are getting to me. "Waguri soloes" "She's so innocent and pure you can't goon to her" "4'11 of pure cuteness" i keep seeing all these comments EVERYWHERE.

I love Waguri but it's getting repetitive, I don't know how it is here in the subreddit but i just wanted to point it out that its getting very repetitive and the glaze is getting too much, it can't just be me getting tired of this? I've red this manga ever since last year the anime just made this topic worsen. Yeah you shouldn't goon to waguri, she's a minor, but the fact that they glaze tf outta waguri saying it it seriously gets tiring 😭 tell me i'm not the only one

Kaoruko has become the most popular female lead of the year gaining many fans due to genuine empathy cuteness and beauty and while those things are very true ONE of reasons why many(including myself) of us would like to find a partner like her ,however i have been seeing many people call her a ''mary sue'' (a type of female character who is depicted as unrealisticly lacking in flaws or weaknesses). Because of this missconception her character has been getting alot of hate for being ''perfect''. But respectfully speaking objectively anyone who makes this claim is wrong. It is clearly seen that kaoruko has flaws of her own she carried the burden of her mother being in the hospital and taking care of her brother while not talking about it to anyone bottling up her emotions until as we see she breaks down right before she meets rintarou. Kaoruko also tends to always keep her calm and composed demener without letting her true self out( at the begining atleast) the point im trying to make is she has plenty of flaws. And her personality isn t just ''pure'' and ''innocent'' as we see in the manga kaoruko opens up far more showing all sides of herself with rintarou and her friends .she s pure in the sense that s she s not some unaware fool it s that she s aware of everything but still stays who she is despite flaws and all. She is called ''perfect'' not because shes flawless but because she tries and perserves. I undestand if you find people on edits spamming the ''we don t goon blah blah or theres no girl like her irl'' trust me while i don t care about who says what i do undestand the annoyance(although people unfairly blame all the male fans which makes no sense only a small part of the male fans say that) still you shoulden t let what others think affect what you think of the character and fandom as a whole this happens to every famous anime ( MHA being a prime example) it s not somthing new kaoruko just got much more famous (theres also the whole argument about her looking/sounding like a child which i don t get honestly she looks and sounds like a normal japanease teenager rintarou is just that tall) Yes characters like rintarou and subaro are better written by far but calling kaoruko a mary sue with no writting is just so objectively wrong. She may not have writing on par with other famous female leads but Kaoruko is nowhere near a badly written character (ty for reading the whole rant if you did and ty mikami sensei for creating her)

Accrding to a recent Twitter post by Mikami Sensei, she stated that the manga will wrap up in around 2 years.
