It’s sad how we had two books about how being a mutant shouldn’t override everything else about Kamala as if it’s all that defines her or is the only thing that matters, and then immediately after they ended, her appearances became about how her being mutant is all that defines her and is the only thing that matters.

Ohhh gotcha. Yeah I always got the sense that her mutant powers were more at odds with her biology and persona, whereas her terrigenesis represents he ancestry and her familial ties. This X-Men era is almost like a superhuman adolescence, breaking off from her home (comic) and doing things that are messier and not as comfy or fun. Hopefully it all leads to an era where she truly thrives as her own hero because this current era definitely feels like an "awkward adolescence" of sorts for the character 😂

Let the spider office have her. They already have Hulk and I'm pretty sure Carol Ms. Marvel was originally a spider office character (she originally shared Peter's supporting cast) before also being passed around the Avengers and X offices. And Kamala's creator G Willow Wilson is currently on Black Cat, which is a spider office book.
