What's a nice beginner pet for a 2.5?l gallon?

I want a pet that'll be entertaining to watch and don't require THAT much maintenance, also a nice lifespan would be great! I already have a betta in my other one, but I have a 2.5 gallon unused and I dont want it just lying around

also fyi I'm a teenager on a budget, I don't have that much money to spend 😭😭

isopods come to mind? I'm no expert on those tho 🤔 2.5 is preeeeetty small so limited options here

2.5's are great for smaller inverts, especially if they're ambush predators like some scorpions or even some active predators like a giant wolf spider.
