Pachnoda marginata grub acting strange

I found an empty pupal cell yesterday, searched around a bit and found no beetle. woke up today with this grub who had surfaced, I noticed how small they were (And the cell was absolutely tiny) and the grub has discolouration, especially on one leg, greenish grey, very very fatigued and does not really react to light anymore. Super worried. Is it going to die? What are my next steps? It does not have any particular smell.

Did it came out of the pupa cell? If yes then i'm afraid there's very little you can do. Beetles don't make second pupa cells and if they get out in a stage where they can still move, the chance they make it is very low. Also, what substrate is it in? Looks like there's little stones or something in it?

it has unfortunately died. Thank you for the help. The small white specks in the dirt are not rocks from what I know, they break apart easily in my hand and aren’t hard.

no not that I know of, it’s substrate marketed for tarantulas. It’s literally called “tarantula substrate”. It was temporary soil for this grub as I isolated it quickly as soon as I noticed it was dying.
