How it started vs. how it's going!

luckily the tank only looked like the first image for a week or so, thanks to the advice of people in this sub i upgraded their enclosure and continue to add more all the time and change it up so they don't get bored. so thank you for the advice, this sub really makes a difference in invert lives!

What is your beetle?

Did you get it in larvae form? Or beetle?

Thank you. They look so cool. We have a Giant African Land Snail (my oldest child’s pet) but looking into Inverts for our youngest as he is bug obsessed.

Do you know if you can get them in larval form? Would be cool for him to see the full life cycle.

What kind of lifespan do they have?
Our GALS is 6-10 years so long or short is good for us.

Are they solitary or live in groups?

Thanks and sorry for all my questions.

from my understanding they are extremely hard to raise from an egg (requires varying temperatures and humidities and a bunch of other factors) so i never looked into acquiring them in that form so im not sure. they live 8-10 years though which is awesome! giant african land snails are very cool. i think they're illegal where i live but ive always admired them

I am in Scotland so we are lucky they are legal here. As pets anyway.

We are looking at Giant African Millipedes for the familiarity aspect as GALS need mad humidity (80-90%) but a desert environment pet would be awesome too.
