General Appreciation post for the acoustic versions of the songs
I love how the mood of the songs changes in the acoustic versions... perhaps a more intimate atmosphere? Also, the music videos were filmed in such picturesque locations. For example, "Like Peaple Do" in Lough Dan or "To Be Alone" in the collage for the post (does anyone know what ruins these are and where exactly?)
Maybe you have your own favorite versions? Feel free to write them below.

Waaaaay early in my becoming a fan (late 2014) I was looking for every video I could find of his. This is a wonderful version of Cherry Wine, but what gets me TO THIS DAY more than the performance is the very beginning when he introduces it. I hadn’t seen many videos other than TMTC, and hadn’t heard him speak that much yet, and I watched this and all I could think was “Do you mean to tell me that that sexiest-song-ever about sex and institutional oppression was written by THIS Soft-spoken, adorably bespectacled tall skinny sweetheart???” I still get absurdly crushed out 12 yrs later by his intro here.
And yes, this version of Cherry Wine is beautiful, as is the From Eden from the same session.
Don’t miss the intro!

Haha, oh yeah! That's exactly what I thought the first time I saw Andrew outside of TMTC. I don't even know who I expected to see, probably anyone but this sweet guy with glasses and a charming smile.
And I never cease to admire the melodies: so simple yet catchy. It's especially interesting to see how the music builds in this session on From Eden. Hearing how the instruments and voices create a beautiful harmony.
Thanks for sharing!

I knew I'd seen that fort somewhere. Visited it on my last trip to Ireland . It's in Newcastle, Wicklow. I have a thing about churches. Forts and castles. It looked so familiar when I saw it and now I know why.

Oh, thanks for sharing! I was wondering if it was still there. And by the way, how was your trip? Maybe you could tell me about a couple of beautiful, memorable places?

I go atleast three times a year to visit a couple of friends in Bray. I Always go to Glendolough, Kilcoole, devils Glen, Newcastle beach, Brittas Bay, Greystones and Lough Dan. But there are so so many.
