Oosterdam July 19th Sailing

Hello! We are on the Oosterdam this summer on the July 19th sailing out of Athens. On July 24 out of Naples, we signed up with 'Shared Trips by Mondoguide' for their tour called - Full Day Positano, Amalfi, and Pompeii from Naples.  Very reasonable at 100 euro pp and the groups are small.  There currently is room for at least two more in our group.  I found out about them through my Rick Steves Mediterranean Cruise Port book.  Website to book is sharedtrips.com. Would love to be with others from our ship! Would also love to hear what others are doing in the other ports.

I’d never heard of SharedTrips.  Do you know if they will expand their focus beyond Italy?  I hope so, and I noticed the Eiffel Tower image used for their Shared City Tours link.

This is my first time using them. I only found out about them through my Rick Steves book. They sound good and I love that the groups are small. We’ll see!

Only responding because this post popped up on my feed. I guess I’m still disappointed with my experience.

Unfortunately, I’m no longer a fan of Holland America. Especially, the Oosterdam. I was on that ship February 2025. The guest entertainer was horrible. I believe her name was Tiffany Dissette. Saw her and the Captain, I believe his name is Kevin Beirnaert or something, disgustingly making out in the hallway. I’m assuming it was where her cabin was located. Just feel it was so inappropriate and could have been kept behind closed doors and professional.

Wish you the best on your cruise.

You have some strange ways of judging your cruises.

I saw a guy eating jello with a fork and it ruined the entire cruise for me. I could not stop crying.

To each their own. Jell-O shots with a fork would send me overboard. Literally!

I was on the Oosterdam in October 2025 and it was a great experience. Maybe they changed captains because ours was named Van Hoogdalem and he was great.

I’m glad you had a great experience. That’s what it’s all about in the end. The memories and experience. Good leadership makes a difference.

Cheers!

1 bad entertainer and 2 consenting adults soured you on a whole cruise line?

Tough crowd!

Please tell me there was more.
