Best Bars/Cafes in Hasselt

Hey everyone,

I’ve been discovering a few more cafes/bars in Hasselt lately and was wondering which places you guys really like best in terms of atmosphere, drinks, and general vibe. I usually just go to the same places so I want to try something new for a change 😅

The best ones that immediately come to mind are Hemelrijk and Cafe Rene, what do you guys actually think of those two? Any other favorites I really need to check out?

I'd say Cambrinus on #1 for me.

Then, in no particular order: Café Kerkhof, Mon Café, Café René, and Egel.

Check out this thread as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hasselt/comments/1owbrso/comment/norpffg/?context=3 (although most bars seem to have been mentioned here)

Stout! Craft beer bar with great music and a pink toilet room.

Rene and hemelrijk are very good. I also really like de egel.

Cafe Cafe / Mon Cafe / Wijnbar Dito / Macca Club / ... depends on your budget, group of people you're going with and the type of music you like.

My go to is De Egel. Irish pub, a bit shabby but great menu, folk music and vibes. Especially recommended as the closing act to a big night out.

De Barrel als je vrouwen wilt scoren!

Als je echt een leuke avond wilt starten in de Cambrinus en eindigen in Café Café.
