Remembering G&L

I purchased this G&L Ash Tele body online about 10 years ago in the midst of a job shuffle. Guided to the purchase by an inner voice. . I'm more an acoustic fingerstyle player and have kept it cased up since. Anyone else made similar purchase without quite knowing why at the time?
