Why isn't it also brilliant?
This should have been my first game with two brilliants ðŸ˜

after Bh3 g3 there’s the move Qe4, threatening an unstoppable mate on g2 and also a possible back rank on e1 (Qe1+ Rxe1 Rxe1#)
some lines could go:
Bh3 g3 Qe4 Rf1 Qg2# Bh3 g3 Qe4 Qd1 Qg2# Bh3 g3 Qe4 f3 Qe2 and eventual mate on g2
whereas with Bf3, after g3 Qe4 your own bishop is blocking your checkmating square, slowing down your attack. even if it’s checkmate eventually it’s not a quick forced mate, which is probably why you got a miss for it

I believe it’s because after g3 the king can now escape to f1, and checkmate becomes harder. If you played bishop to h3 the king would be stuck in the corner. Not 100% sure, but I believe that’s the reason

Bish on H3 takes away Kf1 and creates space for your queen to enter the white diagonal.
Bish on the pictured square is still probably winning but the game goes on

If the bishop is on h3, when white plays g3, you can put your queen on e4 and win in a few moves, that doesn't work with the bishop on f3
