We dodged himeko, and we havent had a proper honkai expy since raiden and yae (i really dont believe alhaitham is suu), id be very surprised if they went that direction

It would be funny. Imagine the tsaritsa, who has sent the harbringers to arrest, subdue, and terrify other nations.
Send what is basically invading armies into foreign land.
Captures the mora making gnosis to control economic power....
Only for it to be an Elysia expy. Our antagonist.

Let’s be real here, people are going to hate her no matter what the design is. Same has happened with every single one of the post-release Archons (except Furina oddly enough.)
If she’s an expy she’ll be hated for not being an original design (or hated for being whichever of the two expy’s she isn’t.)
If she’s an original design she’ll be hated because “she was supposed to be Bronya.” (Even though Hoyo never said she would be.)

well furina got leaked almost a year before her release, so probably that, through people keep saying that she wasn't the archon and that neuvillette was.

It's been the same song and dance for all nations since Inazuma.
Raiden can't be the Archon, she looks like an NPC. Or saying that it's Yae instead.
Nahida can't be the Archon, she looks like a child. It has to be Alhaitham or Baizhu somehow.
Furina can't be the Archon, she doesn't look flashy enough and acts like a brat. Though this one was partially true
Mavuika even had a very small minority doubt her but most people still accepted her as the Archon instead of thinking it was someone else.

Furina’s design was actually really beloved when it was first leaked. In fact the biggest concern I saw from people was a concern it could be changed. (To the point where I remember a leaker saying Hoyo had acknowledged how popular she was in the leaks and that they didn’t plan to change her.)
