As much as a lot of the hate for Natlan was overblown, this shit was egregious

I was a little weirded out that the previous Pyro Archon was a child. Not sure I can say I dislike it but I don’t love it for sure

Btw dendro archon would have perished this quest if not for the Dendro Dragon giving a fraction of their life force to her.

Zero buff (yes, there was no buff no matter how much you guys headcanon them up) human man with stated primitive and crude control over phlogiston vs sovereign who still had authority btw. Dragon fans will never live this down so the list of excuses are long enough to make even genshin writers blush at this point.

The state Xiuhcoatl was in:
Xiuhcoatl's moments of clarity would become more and more short-lived as Abyssal energy slowly corrupted him, and he eventually became a corpse-like shadow of his former self.
According to legend, it is said that the ancient Dragonlord — who once held dominion over all light and wisdom — transformed one of his eyes into a conduit of supreme authority by which all flames might be governed, and that this became his only exploitable weakness...
Both Xbalanque and Xiuhcoatl fell from a great height during the battle and died. While Xiuhcoatl remained dead, Xbalanque was wreathed in fire and revived.
According to his younger brother, Xiuhcoatl was only defeated because he created the Huitzilopochtli array by modifying one of his eyes to serve as its control hub.
Still not an insult to Xbalanque name, in fact it is one of the greatest feats of humankind against Dragonskind.
Even Morax alongside the Adepti were incapable of defeating nor sealing Azhdaha. Azhdaha had to regain his sanity to allow Morax to seal him

Even Morax alongside the Adepti incapable of defeating nor sealing Azhdaha. Azhdaha had to regain his sanity to allow Morax to seal him
There’s a difference between inability and reluctance, and until the full story is revealed, the implications here are pretty much headcanon.

Fair and True, im not going to pretend Xiuhcoatl was at his prime though the fact that he still had his authority did offset a good portion of his weakness. I was exaggerating a bit in the spirit of the slander frankly because im annoyed how often people try to slander Lanque over this to save xiuhcoatl image. Some common examples that I've seen:
Had to sneak attack xiuhcoatl while he was unconscious
Headcanon. Contradicted by neuv voiceline and impossible. As mentioned in the first little one quest, their final moment was falling together from a great height. Which considering xiuhcoatl is a huge ass moutain size dragon and they fought in the heart of the volcano, it could only be possible if they were straight up tussling in mid air which means there's no way xiuhcoatl could be unconscious.
Was massively buffed by Ronova
Horrendously misinterpreted either from the AQ or because of what Kukulkan said. Lanque had zero buff because as beaten over the head several times Ronova's power comes at the price of death. He can't simultaneously use his death to pay for the power while also getting revived by Ronova. Like.. "im gonna pay you back by dying but oops I died in the battle so you better revive me so that I can use the new live you've granted me to pay the death for the power AND the now new extra death debt that I have incured from the resurrection????" As stated by kukulkan, the temporarily resurrection (and probably the future vision) was the help that ronova granted and that's that.
Had massive help from Kukulkan during the battle
I don't know where this came from and I don't know why it keeps getting repeated? That's literally just pure headcanon.
Immune to xiuhcoatl attack because of phlogiston buff
Bruhhh 😩 If that were true any random dragon can no diff xiuhcoatl now apparently

He did infact have help from Kukulkan. Although indirectly. the people of Natlan could control Phlogiston is thanks to Kukulkan teaching them to do so.
Kukulkan travelled the lands until he came upon humans, the "weakest of species." Impressed by their tenacity, he decided to teach them how to use Phlogiston
He first taught his disciple Chaac, the first human to have visited him.
People from all corners of Natlan were drawn to the islands out of curiosity, and there they learned the art of using Phlogiston from Kukulkan after passing his trials.
The rest of what you stated is indeed misinterpretion from the fans. And you are correct. As far i know.
