Meme Weekend They are Phanes and Nibelung.

Post image

The two sovereigns who once stood at the apex of the aberrant species of the Fontemer — “Emperor of Fire and Iron” and “Millennial Pearl Seahorse” — are metaphors for Phanes and Nibelung.

Emperor of Fire and Iron : Phanes is basically a hermit crab, since he lives in someone else’s home without permission.

Millennial Pearl Seahorse : Nibelung may have the “Genesis Pearl.”

Meme weekend fucks with me again. I saw this while scrolling on my phone (the meme tag isn't immediately visible) and was thinking "oh this could be really fresh and interesting. Then I see that it was a bit lol.

Really? I see no difference between this post and the "real" ones. I bet Ashikai could turn this into 1 hour video.

Because presumably they haven't made anymore connections than the one needed for the joke. If this were an actual theory then there's probably a lot more I could probe them on about their thinking.

You could just read the descriptions of each of these off the wiki and make connections yourself.

ashikai wouldnt need more than that to make an hour long video repeating the same thing while random clips from whatever cutscene play in the background

Toxic Celestial Yaoi... The counterpoint to Voyager X Koitar Fluff Celestial Yuri.

you’re right and more people should say this. i bet the HP went dormant after they killed nibelung bc they were sad that their gay lover was dead. just like dvalin was sad after he had to kill his gay lover durin. dvalin’s “abyssal corruption” is just the woke mind virus that made him gay and in love with another male dragon. tragic stuff :/

Personally i wouldn't consider stealing the body of a child and making love with it fluff

Do we know it was a child? It's only ever mentioned as youth, and I don't think that would mean the same thing.

Likely started as a child, but they did get to grow up. In my experience, youth can be anywhere from an adolescent to a mid-late teenager.

Anyways, the youth's pupils were described as starry so it's safe to say that the descendants would likely have gathered in Khaenri'ah. As while Seutervoinen is ascribed with feminine pronouns, the body of the youth was male. So maybe it's possible that there are descendants of the "Exalted Saint" and "Dawn's Navigator".

Though it also seems like Seutervoinen might use the pronouns of whatever body they inhabit. Quite fluid in terms of gender it seems.

He’s called a “youth” and even if he’s a young adult, it’s still stealing a body and doing things with it with no consent from the guy, and the new celestial gifts artifact reveals that the youth’s body died while the voyager was still using it, meaning she took his life and led him to death, he was originally from the country side, so he must have had a family in a farm somewhere, that family never saw their son again, and the voyager wouldn’t care because humans are just animals in her eyes

Voyager is a bum among a race of bums, and they stole the body of a human boy, so they’ll look human

Voyager is about to break every gender norm. I'm expecting something like Enkidu from fate. Ambiguous through and through.

Localization error. They or it would be more accurate.

do they actually use gender neutral pronouns in other dubs? damn, this would be a bigger localisation fuck-up than kusanali or arlecchino if so lmao.

What's this in reference to?

2

u/beyonceshostage 1d ago

both characters had gender neutral pronouns in other dubs but en localizers used male pronouns for whatever reason, leading many to believe they were men.

1

u/CetriBottle 1d ago

Both of them were referred to with male pronouns in EN when they were first mentioned.

Wasn't there one line in Chinese that also used "he"?
