Spoiler Casting - Comings and Goings (Spoilers) - Discussion Thread Spoiler

This thread is for those who wish to discuss casting news but avoid other spoilers on the show. If you wish to discuss casting news and other spoiler information like previews and other future content use the "SPOILERS FOR THE WEEK OF" thread that is also pinned to the top of the sub.

Again, this is just for Casting changes. Do not discuss other spoilers in this thread.

The most recent episode is a SPOILER until 2PM Eastern / 1PM Central the next day after it aired. Just because a casting change has happened in the show, it's still not safe to discuss it outside of the episode discussion threads or the spoiler threads.

This thread will be refreshed from time to time rather than on a fixed schedule due to casting changes being rather random at times.

——————— Q&A ———————

Q: “but why can’t we discuss this openly on the sub?”

A: Many viewers enjoy watching the show without knowing about surprise changes to the cast and we want this sub to be a good place for all viewers.

Q: "but this casting reveal is public knowledge, everyone knows, and I saw someone post it here, it was mentioned on a website and the actor is giving interviews on tv"

A: It's still not cool. Report the person for ruining this for you so we can help keep the sub clean, don't get yourself banned from here by further spreading the spoiler information. If a subject is too hot and needs it's own thread, we'll make a spoiler thread for that subject however this thread should serve as home base for all casting changes.

is it really illegal to not stop?

(catching up on recent eps slowly so sorry if this has been discussed or even resolved in the show already)

if a car swerves into my lane then overcorrects and crashes but never actually came in contact with my car, am i legally supposed to turn around, assuming i knew what happened?

like why are the police even involved? there’s no way to even prove the other driver knew, and even if they did, it was jordan who was at fault.

there are some crazy drivers around where i live. literally recently people and a dog have died. if i were in a similar situation i would 100% keep driving. sorry but not risking the other driver blaming and coming after me.

Kristina's Education

During the Perks storyline she mentioned that she was working on her MBA. Later, during the Parker story, she referred to herself as a "college dropout."

It's hard to get into medical school, even with great MCAT scores, and one usually needs strong pre-med coursework. In fact, there are premedical post-baccalaureate studies programs just so people can qualify to apply to med school because the requirements are so rigid.

The look on Drew's face when Sidwell compared him to a potted plant and told Willow to enjoy the quiet. I hope they'll keep him long-term.

Discussion Weekly - What is your wishlist for GH

This thread is the place to promote whatever changes you'd like to see GH make. Maybe you have a favorite couple you'd like to see or there are hanging stories that need resolved... or maybe you just have some idea for some direction the show should go.

NO SPOILERS

This is your place to say what your wishlist for GH is. I'm not saying the show is going to read all of these and act on any of them, but there's a better chance of them if it's all in one place each week. It might also help to be kind of decent about it?

All board rules apply.

Has anyone shared more partners than Carly and Nina?

This is not about attacking or shaming any characters, but I'm genuinely curious if anyone can name two characters who have had more romantic overlap?

Carly and Nina have both been with 5 and possibly going on 6 of the same men

Franco

Jax

Sonny

Drew

Valentin

Jack hasn't happened yet, but he and Nina have started having scenes together, so it's possible

When Anna Returns, I wish we would find out...

When Anna returns, I would love it if we would find out that she figured out that Cullum was the one gaslighting her, that she faked the breakdown to go undercover to bring him and Sidwell down , and the " breakout" eas part of the plan so that Cullum would think he has nothing to worry about from her.

As a WSB agent, she was trained to come up with covers , and she's so good at acting that when she needed to, she gave such an Oscar worthy performance that she even fooled Emma and Felicia into believing she's gone off the deep end!

Would you like to see this scenario play out?

Danny would have been much better off staying with the Quartermaines. Alexis just can't handle him!

I know Sam would've preferred her kids stay with Alexis. However, in the case of Danny, she is not capable to deal with him. At least in the Quartermaine household, their would not only be more eyes constantly on him but more family emotional support.

Honestly, Tracy seems like the better parental figurehead fit right now. Alexis just has too much going on. She is still grieving her daughter, having to keep Kristina out of mess, stressed about Scout with Willow. On top of her very demanding work/ career obligations.

Frankly... Alexis has only raised girls and having Danny might be a bit too much for her. I also feel, Danny should be in some sort of therapy as well. The kid has been thru too much recently.

Yes, there is no doubt the Q's are dysfunctional but that family is better equipped to deal with teenage Danny.

What Do We Know About Director Cullum?

Post image
21 Upvotes

What do we know about Director Ross Cullum?

Not much. As one of the two big bads of the major story arc involving Britt, Cassius, and cold fusion, we don’t have a lot of info on this character.

What we do know is that he is the European Director of the WSB.

He is an expert in all aspects and history of Caesar Faison (which includes his children, Peter, Britt, Nathan, and Cassius) as well as the villain’s scientific projects.

He's been involved in some criminal activities since around 2006.

He is trained in psychological warfare as proven when he manipulated Anna Devane into thinking Caesar Faison is still alive.

He is a highly trained martial combatant. He was even able to beat mob enforcer Jason Morgan in hand-to-hand combat.

He hired an assassin to bomb Sonny Corrithos’s penthouse in order to kill the mob boss. Hired a second assassin to kill Sonny in Los Angelos.

He can be incredibly polite and cordial when dealing with the public, unless he feels such subterfuge is no longer necessary, then he freely reveals his menacing personality.

He does not tolerate betrayal, and has shown incredible ruthlessness when dealing with those who have wronged him. This was displayed when he brutally stabbed Marco Rios seven times, leaving him to bleed out on the floor of the Miller & Davis Law Firm.

He has a sadistic streak, as shown in his dealings with both Britt Westbourne and Jack Brennan.

But that is about it on what we know about Ross Cullum.

I’d like to know his motives for betraying the WSB and working with Sidwell to create a cold fusion device in order to sell it to the highest bidder. Is it money? Revenge against the agency? Something else?

Is there any redeeming qualities of the character we’ve not seen yet?

Would he really kill Rocco if he learned he was the one who shot him?

Is he planning on killing Cassius once the cold fusion device is created and he has no further need of Faison’s children?

I ask these questions because while I really enjoy the character and he makes a great villain, we just don’t know any real details about why he’s doing what he’s doing. Just existing to be the big bad guy causing trouble for all our favorite GH characters is just not enough – we need to know what drives him to do what he does so that it gives meaning behind his actions. Otherwise, he just exists in the story to stir up trouble and to be an obstacle for our heroes.

I really hope the writers give us some insight into Director Ross Cullum soon to help us understand him a bit better as I think it would really add some layers to the story.

What do you all think?

Damsel in distress storylines are getting tiresome and is outdated

Willow is a moron like her mother. She has absolutely no common sense and it's tiresome to see her always the damsel crying to men to save her. Sidwell and now Chase.

Brit is the same thing. I like her but I'm ready for this waiting for Jason to come back story to save her and make it right.

I'm sick of this writing women into traps all the time. Sometimes, okay. But two of these? Ugh.

Speculation Who Do You Think Will Control Aurora?

If Curtis goes down for injuring Isaiah, who do you think is going to take control of Aurora? I could see Drew pull a Jax-style hostile takeover and push Michael and Nina out. Another scenario I could see play out if Nina uses her millions to buy Crimson, which becomes free from both Drew and Michael. Maybe, an outsider (Skye, AMC's Erica/Brooke, or Viki Lord) purchases it.

This story line really gives me the ick.

I just wanna say Brook Lynn deserves a better cousin than Michael and that he wants to use the accident that she didn’t even cause to disrupt her life with Phoebe and her marriage to get what he wants I’m not getting the vibe he cares about her at all to throw her under the bus in hopes Chase cheats on her is cruel and stabbing her in the back he’s trying to play god to get a win he’s only doing this to benefit him. Does Michael really think this ain’t gonna blow up in his face that she’s gonna thank him for planning to upend her life and that his hands will be clean?

He‘s also risking pissing Tracy off as much she wants to honor Monica this is her house and she won’t tolerate Michael hurting her granddaughter and Phoebe‘s happiness Michael knows how it feels to have your family and marriage fall apart and he wants to subject his cousin to the same pain…

Michael knows Brook Lynn is adopting Phoebe him trying to expose her and scheming her to lose her husband during this time makes him look awful. How is he any different than Willow with this plan he always preaching how manipulative she is, but he’s gonna be like I’ll stab Brook Lynn in the back so she can sleep with my cousins husband.

His logic is delusional and he has no loyalty for family this obviously wont go the way he wants it and he’ll get backlash.. It’s sad that they’re doing this to Michael and Brook Lynn’s relationship that’s supposed to be close I used to think he’d never be so cruel to her especially when she almost died to stop from his son Wiley from getting kidnapped.

I love that Brook Lynn threatened Willow, but I hope she isn’t the only person Brook Lynn will set out to take down and destroy.. Michael needs suffer through her wrath as well.

Portia is so much more likeable

Portia is so reasonable and likeable now that she is not with Curtis!
Curtis is the reason everyone in his family have become such annoying characters

Jordan, an intelligent accomplished woman is acting like a brainwashed Stepford wife going along with Curtis’s deranged blame game

Trina, an intelligent, talented, driven young adult with a love of art and big dreams becomes a whiny, foot stomping child willing to contort what she sees and knows to defend Curtis.

Portia, an MD and chief of staff with a great career turned her into a whiny weak mess of a woman because of Curtis. It’s great to see her reclaim her power!

The need to prop up the character of Curtis and his ego has nearly ruined several formerly strong women. I hate that the writers do this to women (same thing happened with Sonny) they don’t need to write women as whiny weak messes or villains.

Love the way Carly is being written. Strong woman who is not an evil villain but can kick butt when someone crosses her or her kids. Yes, she has a past, but once she left Sonny’s immediate orbit, she reclaimed her power. Man double crosses her and she doesn’t break down into a weeping mess, she kicks him to the curb.

With Drew all eyes I have to say that’s perfect for him. All the hell he caused is on the back burner for now. I must say I am enjoying the quiet these days.

Seeing Carlo Rota on tv show

I’ve been streaming FBI Most Wanted (S5 E7) as background noise & I recognized Carlo Rota’s voice, even as he was playing a Czech mobster. He was bantering in the fun way we saw him with Willow. He’s so enjoyable

Michael and Gio sound a lot like Sonny when they talk

I know it must be obvious but like, listening to Gio and Micheal talk without looking at them. They speak very similar to Sonny. Whether they intend to or not. I just kind of love it. Thats all lol
