New Pilot, Somewhat having fun
I download the game on my local Internet cafe because think this game is so cool and finally satisfy my need for Mech game with grunt archery that's easy for me to understand in lore.
Currently D+, And find the power creep troublesome. I'm having fun with Guncannon MP Type, Geara Zulu, And GM Power.
I know I'm still suck, Neutral swinging and Tackling randomly, But I genuinely feel the game is meant to he played with 300h minimum, or paid. Like comparing Geara Zulu with Gundam GP01 is not even close, with GP01 having higher resistance for Beam and ballistic attacks.
Overall, I enjoy the game, But not a fan of PVP power creep. Just saying how I like GBO2

I highly recommend you get the double machine guns for the Guncannon MP. Those things shred.

Power creep do exist but I believe the game is heavier on skill and team coordination. When everyone knows what they should be doing and keeping close to their beacon, everything clicks together, even in an MS people think is outdated, you can have fun and crush the opposing team.

Yeah those suits you like are not as strong as other suits but the mp guncannon is decent at 300 with even simple f2p parts. The requirements are weird and it needs a semi decent pc due to what the game uses instead of your graphics card.

First advice when it comes to the currency like dp and recycle tickets. Save dp till you got atleast 5 mil then you can start spending sum but be sure to buy suits that you want to play and check theyre levels. For tickets youd usually want around 800 to 1k tickets as it ensures you have enough for certain suits. The powercreep has been like this since 2019 so yeah just gotta get used to it. Dont spend in single pulls save up for a 4 star youd like and or a 3 star suit. Also get in a clan thats active and playing you get around an extra 3 tokens from clan missions and an extra 1 token for clan level up.

You will get there, I started the game last year and didn't find the power creep too bad for getting into the game. Though I did Code Fairy first and got all the unlockables for GBO2.
You can buy custom parts in the DP store to help with the stat distribution for your suits. Though getting a hang of the gameplay and how a suit plays is most important.

Comparing Geara Zulu and Gp01 isn't really close for a few reasons. Both are suits with different roles and problems, but neither is new enough to not be F2p.
Geara Zulu has Maneuver Armor, which lets it push through instant staggers, though its part slots let it be pretty tanky in terms of resistances, on top of having higher HP and a shield that lasts longer. Base resistance to melee and beam is a little higher, which is often the majority of damage at 550+, and people tend to build for high beam resistance more as costs go up.
Geara Zulu is more for pushing the front lines, and the differences in HP and resistances even out even with its increased size, while making it pretty easy to have high resistances in. The downswing does less damage, but unlike Gp01, it can land two of them before an enemy gets up. It also has the Sturm Faust launcher that allows it to combo from either a build stagger (uncharged shots from the beam rifle) or instant stagger (charged shot), and overall better tools for getting build stagger outside of Vulcan range.
Gp01 focuses more on mobility, having a higher staffing speed, the ability to dodge up to twice in a row, but it can't avoid instant stagger attacks unless they hit your shield (and it doesn't break). Downswing hits hard, but it's a long, two-hit animation that can't hit in full a second time. Vulcans have great stagger and allow it to fire them while boosting, and it uses skills like Power Accelerator and Priority 3 melee to make best use of its agility and speed to quickly come in, mess stuff up, and deal a lot of damage. Adding Counterboost in the last buff is part of what makes it a lot more usable, since it can get moments of large buffs, and the simple weapons work well enough at mid-range. But Counterboost isn't a reliable skill to depend on, as counters are often tricky to land and get messed up by latency.
Meanwhile, Geara Zulu was admittedly bad before its last buff, and it didn't get enough to make it more than mediocre. Because of its size, it probably deserves leg buffers, and it would help a lot if it could throw the grenades while boosting for additional damage and build stun potential while using MA. If not needing a fully revamped weapon or new one added, or some skills like Offense System or Damage Control. Other 550 suits do a similar job better, either being better at pushing forward without being stopped, hitting harder, or having better ranged weapons.
Efreet Schnied is pretty good on being a melee General excelling as close ranges, and Gerbera Tetra Kai is a pretty simple suit that is slightly more ranged based than melee but has a lot more speed and stun resistance than Gp01 or Geara Zulu. Dezpada isn't quite a durable in closer ranges and has a lot of mid-ranged weapons to juggle, but it does have a lot of stagger resistance and two melee weapons that are good. Geara Doga Kai doesn't have MA, but it is really tanky, has temporary stealth, and Active Guard Lv3 lets it turn itself into a nearly immovable suit with access to two strong melee weapons and a heavy stagger melee wire attack. The Lv2 Geara Doga basically does the same but I'm going in on the MA skill and melee damage first and foremost.
