Community memory
I remember back when I was little, I had a frozen lanyard for my library card and one day, the librarian asked me which of the sisters I liked more. when I said Elsa, she laughed and said that I must only like her for her dress because Elsa was a really selfish character...
first of all, lady I was like 8, what are you doing saying that I shouldn't like a character based off her design. and second, choosing yourself after following other people's rules for your whole life is selfish? wow ok. and sure, she left Arendell under snow, but she couldn't have known that. in for the first time in forever reprise, she looks genuinely shocked when anna says that Arendell is under snow. and at the time in the movie, she didn't know how to fix what she had done.
also, she feared of what would happen if her powers kept spiralling out of control so her choosing to leave to the mountains was a smart move on her part. making it so it would be hard for people to get to her while also choosing a place that was already used to large amounts of heavy snow, so she couldn't do much damage.
she stayed away because she knew what would happen and chose to minimise the damage.
it's a really bitter memory because it was like saying that I'm not allowed to like a character due to one out of context flaw that if you were actually paying attention to the movie, you would have the full story behind all her choices.
sorry for the long rant but just wow, the audacity of some people sometimes.

I hate when people say stuff like that why burst the kids bubble? Just leave it people like that white Elsa and Anna were created to show that others that are different doesn’t mean they’re selfish. You’re a good person OP keep going.
