Advice / Question 💡 Kendamil black specks

Post image

Has anyone else had black specks in their formula?! I use kendamil classic infant whole milk. They say they are scorched milk and safe- but I’m nervous!!! Ty!

I thought the black specs were the added iron? I could be wrong

Do you boil the water before adding formula? Sometimes it could be very small residue from your kettle or pot you boil water in

Yes but we use a stainless steel pot

It’s caramelized milk. Totally harmless

I’ve never seen black spots in our Kendamil formula, but that might be because we use a brezza. I’m going to assume it’s scorched particles since you use a kettle to boil the water first.

YES!! I thought it was just me or something wasn’t properly cleaned. No idea what they are.

Kendamil says it's scorched milk. Seems common with organic formulas. Still unsettling to see.

Have you switched formulas?

We got this in one of our cans of bobbie formula, they told us it is scorched particles and completely safe, but as normal we weren't comfortable with it so they sent us a new can, their customer service is amazing!
