Formula Prep 🍼 Enfamil neuropro yielding greater-than-expected volume after mixing in Dr Brown pitcher?

I've been feeding my son (8 months) with ready-to-use up until now, switched to powder two days ago. Every time that I've mixed powder with the Dr Brown pitcher, it seems to yield more total formula than it should. This morning, for example, I mixed 26 fl oz of Poland Spring water with 13 scoops of enfamil. Each scoop adds ~0.2 oz, so the yield should be around 28.6. However, it actually turned out to be more like 29.5, which would seemingly suggest I added almost 5 extra scoops which I definitely did not do. I counted carefully and leveled off each scoop per the instructions.

Can anyone say what I'm doing wrong here?

It’s not going to be an exact 0.2 oz every time, because the scoop can only be so accurate. Using a kitchen scale will probably yield closer to the 28ish oz, but also, it’s fine. You’re not doing anything wrong and it’s perfectly safe to feed what you’ve prepared.

Thank you for the reassurance! I figured I was probably just being neurotic, haha.

It's just some air, and in a healthy infant does not matter

I don’t know because I have this same issue. My girl drinks 30 oz daily so I mix 26.5oz to get ~ 30 oz. I use a kitchen scale every time. Ounces of water are weighed along with the grams of formula. It says it’s about 0.2oz/scoop added but I find it comes closer to 0.3oz/scoop
