Student internship in Florence, KY

Hello! My daughter will be doing an internship in Florence, KY, from May to August 2026.

Where can she find affordable, short-term housing? What areas should she avoid? Is a car necessary to get around in Florence or is public transportation adequate? TIA.

No real public transportation, she may be able to ebike it depending on the to and from.

But a car would make life easier.

Most short term would be airbnb. Everything else is normal lease time and expensive.

There are extended stay type hotels that will give monthly rates though.

If you do the hotel route, the Residence Inn in Erlanger is nice! My coworkers stay there when we have a project in town

How long are the projects? Basically how long are the hotel stays?

She might be able to find some short term housing near NKU. She will most definitely need a car. Also, try a long term Airbnb.

In all seriousness this is not a student town. I have a 15 and 18 year old with the latter going to college in Aug. what is your daughters doing here?

Wherever she goes, be prepared for bedbugs on either side of the river. Also, many foreign students that attend DO NOT believe in vaccines. So there will be some diseases present.

JFYI

Have you ever even left your property? Just living fearfully in your house for the rest of your life. Just believing all the lies you've been told.
