How do I get my movie funded?
I have a movie idea that’s really good. I don’t have a script but I have a one-pager and I can write a script if someone agrees to fund it.
How do I get it in front of a studio head who will fund it? I’ve done the math and I just need like $2-5million to fund it. I think it could be a breakout hit and make at least $100M globally.
How would I go about getting this funded? Who should I talk to?

If studios or networks are handing out free 5 million green lights, i gave a spec script written for a six episode neo-western horror thriller series that would be fire HBO.
Lmk if one of you guys can plug me with you network contact ✌🏼💪🏼👊🏼🙏🏼

You haven’t even attempted the hardest part: writing the fucking script! I’m a WGA writer and everyone has a killer idea, but vanishingly few have a killer script. Because brainstorming is the easy part.

What makes you think anyone here would give you the secret to a 5 million dollar meeting if they held the keys? This is not only one of the worst times in recent history to try and produce a film, but you don’t even have a script.
I’ve been a Director and Cinematographer for almost 15 years. I’ve won awards, been nominated for all sorts of things. I direct a TV show on HBO that is in its 5th season… believe me when I say what you’re asking for doesn’t exist.
Write your script in a way you can self fund it. If you make a breakout hit, maybe you will get to make another movie. That’s the only answer I have for you.

Write to shoot, write your script in a way that you’ll be able to finance it all yourself. Our at the very least outline your film and send it to production studios under the guise of a agent representing a writer / director

They will very quickly if not immediately gather that the fake “representative” has 0 real clients
