Discussion Weekend Check-In 🌞

Hi everyone!

It's been a minute since our last check in and here in the UK we've had some unseasonably hot weather. Luckily for me it's now cooled to a more pleasant level and my brain has started working again. With the kids going back to school for their final term hopefully I can get some writing done!

So how is everyone doing? This is a place to chat about anything at all and catch up with each other 💜

It cooled off after some rain here, and it's closer to feeling like late spring again.

I've been thinking of writing a story in another small fandom. The lore and worldbuilding in this fandom is pretty vast, though, so it's a little intimidating to think about drafting the story I'm writing, which is a post-game epilogue thing. Not exactly a fix-it, although I remember some people debating what exactly did happen in the ending. (IMHO, there was a side quest in the game that made very clear what had happened, but let's not get into that here...)

As for me, my date is set, and awkwardly, my kid is scheduled to be born on my wedding anniversary. 🎉 There's always a chance it happens sooner if...spontaneity is involved. And sadly, there's still stuff to get done...

I'm pretty sure spontaneity is the norm 😄. Here's hoping baby gives you a few days grace on your anniversary.

I'm scheduled to be induced a few days early due to risk factors. My first was born three days 'late.' And I recall subsequent kids sometimes coming sooner, but it really varies wildly.

In the end, kids will show up when they want. 😸
