Discussion Weekend Check-In 🌞

Hi everyone!

It's been a minute since our last check in and here in the UK we've had some unseasonably hot weather. Luckily for me it's now cooled to a more pleasant level and my brain has started working again. With the kids going back to school for their final term hopefully I can get some writing done!

So how is everyone doing? This is a place to chat about anything at all and catch up with each other 💜

It’s interesting reading about kids going back to school, since the reverse just happened where I’m from. Schools only recently let out here.

As for writing, things are going well. I’ve been working on stuff, since I have too much time on my hands and writing feels like a good use of it. I should hit 400k total hits soon, and I recently reached both 8,500 kudos and 3,500 bookmarks overall. Not too bad.

I also harvested my small sugar pea crop. There was enough for one meal, and they were wonderful. I had my first cherry tomato and muskmelon too, both from the garden, and they were very good as well.

Lastly, I’m six months in and still averaging just under 11k steps a day, which is a big improvement.

Those are impressive numbers. Congrats. And congrats on your first harvests too. Homegrown stuff always taste better. It seems your garden is way ahead of mine; it'll be at least a couple of weeks before anything's ready to be picked.

The fruits of your labor sound amazing. I had a small garden at my old apartment, but where I live now, we can't really have one. Our neighbor next door has a secret one, and I think we would need to get a fence to hide one.

Congrats on the upcoming milestones! It's always encouraging to see others reaching an audience and having people enjoy their stories. I hope to get back to writing more stories, but I think I need to wait a few years to let life's dust settle for me a little. 😛
