Quick Questions Thread

This thread (to be posted every four weeks) is a place for people to ask quick, common, or simple questions regarding Nihon Falcom and its games. The community is encouraged to ask here if your question is not opinion-based, such as where to find something in a game or when something occurred. Please mark all spoilers with the >!text!< format and remember to provide context.

If you post a new thread and your question is redundant (it has been posted on this subreddit recently), we will remove it. Additionally, we have made a Frequently Asked Questions wiki page for these. Please check there first before asking!

Joke question threads will be removed and joke answers should be kept to a minimum.

Please feel free to continue to post separate threads on this subreddit for content you expect to generate more interesting discussion, for example news, opinion-based discussion posts, and links.

Feel free to check out the subreddit wiki or the Discord server.

It is a divisive scene, but mostly because of how Agate treats Tita; I've never seen someone talk about it from this angle before. It's been long enough since I've seen the scene itself that there may be aspects of it I'm not remembering... I do think it's worth pointing out that Estelle and Joshua are fairly inexperienced teenagers. They're broadly competent, but I don't think it's that surprising that they could panic or miss an opportunity in the moment.

I don't think it's a great cutscene or anything, but it didn't bother me anything like this much. It will be addressed to some extent in the next game why Agate was more inclined to focus on Tita, but I'm not sure that will actually change your opinion.

I don't think there's any real risk of you not seeing Estelle and Joshua as actual characters by the end of the game. Some of their remaining scenes are among the most memorable in anything I've ever played or watched. It is true that for most of the game, they're kind of swept along by the tide of events, though.
