Discussion Hand management / card limit

Hi everyone!

I have searched the sub and found no post on this, so I’m sorry if this has been discussed already.

I have all the expansions for base game, and I came to the conclusion that the problem of just playing late game is even worse.

Basically everyone just takes a lot of cards until people start to worry about exploding kittens. So its 40% of the game just drawing, 10% looking for the future or changing it, and then everyone has a lot of cards in hand and there are really long turns quite often.

I am mentioning games with 4/5 people or less, or idk, any game.

So I was thinking on how to balance the usage of cards throughout the game. What do you think of the idea of hand limit? What would you put it? I thought of 12 maybe

Dont use all cards, I like to keep my deck at 15-25% full of bombs depending if the deck is rather small or big, for smaller decks use around 15-20% ans for bigger decks use around 20-25% bombs

25% of the total? Isn’t that too small?

And you are saying regardless of the number of players, have all bombs in?

yeah 25% of the total so if u have 40 cards pur 10 bombs in (i would mix between imploding snd exploding and put a good amount of extra defuses like zombie kittens in) If u have a 20 card deck just put 15-20% in so around 3-4 bombs (if it fits with the player count)

Humm, ok dont know if I have enough bombs, but ill see smth like that maybe
