Customs, VAT etc. Global Blue refund Spain - our experience in Malaga
Just received my refund in Spain (Malaga). The process described on the internet is slightly inaccurate so I'll describe my experience.
We purchased items in Spain. Retailers that support Global Blue will issue bar coded receipt if original non EU passport is presented. No need to specify reimbursement method although they may ask . If not cash is requested then some other details go on the receipt like account number
Malaga airport has Diva kiosk before security where receipt is scanned and validated. No one looks at items and no customs stamps needed. After security cash is paid (passport required). Also we are transfering in another EU country but as long as receipt is from Spain they will issue refund

Diva kiosk (before security) should be opened at all times, its unmanned. If i remember its somewhere near 363 counter in the corner. You just need to scan receipts bar code. I googled hours for GB currency exchange office (after security) where refund is given
AGP, Schengen Departures, Floor 1, Pier D Currency exchange - Aeropuerto de Málaga-Costa del Sol, Avenida del Comandante García Morato, s/n, 29004 Málaga, España Open all year. Opening hours: 05:15 - 22:15

Do you know the hours of the office where you got your refund after security? I have a 6:30am flight so wondering if I can just scan receipts at the diva kiosk.
