I like the idea. Maybe what they should do is assign each card a "buy" and "sell" value. So say you want Polymerization, we could assign it an arbitrary buy value of "100" and 5 "sr" crystals. So the "sell" value of the cards being traded should also be >=100, or offer a monetary payup using gold. The rarer the card, the higher the value, and buy values should be higher than sell values.
