So my idea for a box overhaul is, as you buy packs, you start to accumulate points that you can exchange for a specific card from any box, from outside the box stock. Like say you want a specific UR, and the one in the box is taken, no problem. One point for each pack opened, and tentative exchange rates might be... 3 Pack points= 1 N rarity card, 10 Pack points= 1 R rarity card, 40 Pack points= 1 SR rarity card, 100 Pack points= 1 UR rarity card. Big enough to give people some consistency for getting desired cards, small enough to leave a negligible impact on Konami's bottom line. And the game keeps track of number of packs opened so they can award these retroactively.

buy packs as with money or gems? Ima assume you're talking about the latter tbh it wouldn't be so bad as you said it doesn't affect komoney that much but they'll probably make it some absurd number of points to get a UR from a box kinda like how everyone asked for a reason to use their stones for card trader but made it a really absurd number that's not worth making cards glossy or prismatic at all. Would still be cool tho could really help f2p players get better decks

I meant packs with both. Regardless of whether or not they were real money packs, they still count towards the total.
