After namek blows up why do the others think they can revive goku, krillin and chaitzhou with the namekian balls when porunga dies with guru?

(I would google the answer but I've done that before and accidentally read spoilers, I haven't watched db since the 90s so there's a lot I can't remember)

If the dragon balls take exactly one year to recharge and in original dragonball they were first used September ninth age 749, how the hell did the red ribbon army collect them in may of age 750. That’s not a year… am I missing something?

In the manga they say Goku and Krillin trained on unnamed training island for eight months, til the 21st world martial arts tournament, then it’s immediately the red ribbon army saga. How were the dragonballs recharged… I’m going insane.

The dragon ball wiki says the dragonballs have been used three times without having to wait the correct year limit, but this isn’t listed as one of those times.
So… unhelpful as ever… and this has been driving me crazy

Ginyu

Richard Newman(11/10)

He ıs one of the rare gems that did a much better job than his Jp counter part, Hideyuki Hori.

He ıs also the only one that ıs on par with Kai Jp va, Katsuyuki Konishi.

He balances out the intimidation and goofy tone perfectly. He has a bombastic energy. Even the worst Funi lines sounds badass when he says ıt. Its a crime that he only got 3 ep.

Imagine his Ginyu saying this line to Gohan. It would been hilarious (he also played him).

Dale Kelly(7'5/10)

He and Linda Young are literally the only good performance ın the entire Frieza saga.

He sounds like a Drill-Sergant. Has a very bombastic energy, similar to Richard Newman. Sure he sounds nofthing like him, but that much ıs forgiven. I am honestly dissapointed that they recasted him with Late Brice Armstrong for Orange Bricks. They outright tried to erase his name.

Late Brice Armstrong(4/10)

He ıs a miscast. Sure he sounds more like Richard Newman. But he does not have the style and bombastic energy.

This ıs Richard Newman's take. This ıs his. You really can tell he ıs struggling.

He should been casted as King Kai.

He was a good actor, he was just not a good Ginyu.

Bruce Elliot(9/10)

A recast was really needed. He ıs the best Post-Newman Ginyu. He sounds a lot like Dale Kelly, but much deeper and bombastic.

He ıs nowhere good as Katsuyuki Konishi's Ginyu. That man sounds like he ıs borned to play Ginyu.

But he ıs on par with Hideyuki Hori's Ginyu.

Richard Epcar(7/10)

This ıs one of those role that he should been knock out of the park. He has everything that makes a Great Ginyu. But he somehow feelt flat.

Burter

Don Brown(11/10)

He ıs outright an improvment to Yukimasa Kishino's Burter.

For those who dont know, he ıs the one who ınvented the "Snake Voice" for Burter. Not only he sounds outright horrfying, but also goofy. Yes, that voice can be both goofy and horrfying at the same time. I laughed hard when he ıntroduced himself to Goku.

I would say he sounds like a Parody of Don Brown's Burter, but even the parody ver sounds better than him.

He sounds alright, but ın terms performance he lacks so much. He ıs not intimidating. And he ıs not goofy. He ıs just there.

Could not they just picked Dameon Clarke for Burter? His Tambourine would make a "Perfect" Burter.

David Kaye(9/10)

David Kaye did a great job. Sounding both funny and intimidating. Much as ı love his potrayal, he sometimes sounds to intimidating for Recoome. This ıs one of those rare cases where "actor ıs to good for the character" type of deall. He should been the one who voiced Perfect Cell in Westwood dub, yeeeeees.

But his Recoome? He ıs genually perfect. He ıs basically english ver of Late Kenji Utsumi ın terms of mannerisms. No wonder he keept the role in Kai.

He ıs basically English ver of Late Kazumi Tanaka. But with the addition of British/Australian accent and a Rock-Star scream. He ıs outright perfect.

Also yes, he ıs one who ınvented the idea of Jeice having an accent.

Sounds good, performance ıtsElf ıs a bit bland. He just does not have that bombastic energy that the other 2 posses. And this ıs something he never improved upon. His Jeice reduced to beign a stereotypical Australian as years went on.

Ernesto Jason Liebrecht(8/10)

I will never forgive Funimation for recasting Sabat for Jeice.

Ernesto was perfect for Jeice. He ıs the most comedic one, he ıs full of energy. There ıs a weird charm to his suprisngly rough voice, ıt weirdly fits. The way he says "Maggot" ıs also hilarious.

Guldo

Terry Klassen(10/10)

Terry Klassen is like an English speaking Late Kōzō Shioya. He manage to sound both pathetic and creepy. A problem ı have with others ıs that, they keep forgetting that Guldo ıs a threat. Even his new Japanees Va, Yasuhiro Takato, fell into this trap.

Dylan Thompson(7/10)

He ıs suprisngly preety good. Voice ıs left a lot to be desired. But performance ıs preety solid.

Bill Townsley(8'5/10)

He sounds like a pathetic ver of Terry's Guldo. Unlike Greg Ayres, he actually sounds like a threat. He ıs the best Post-Klassen VA for Guldo.

Also he has the best death scene out everyone ın the list. You genually can feel how pathetic Guldo was at his last moments.

Greg Ayres(8/10)

If Terry Klassen ıs Late Kōzō Shioya, than Greg ıs Yasuhiro Takato. He sounds so pathetic, ın a best way possible. I genually wanted to harm him when ı heard his voice. I was literally cheering when he gets killed by Vegeta. My only problem ıs that, he ıs the least creepy Guldo voice. But this ıs a proplem that Yasuhiro Takato also has. So that much ıs forgiven.

Vic Mignogna (7/10)

He ıs one of the most overrated performances that ı ever heard. I will gonna detail what ı like and what ı dont.

He sounds the most creepy one out of everyone. Not only this, but he has a very try hard energy. You can feel he ıs suffering while transforming.

Now my problem ıs that, he cant scream. At all. Remember that ı said he ıs sounding like he ıs suffering? That ıs not an act, he ıs genually struggling to scream. Everthing that makes him a great Z Broly completly goes against him as Super Broly.

Douglas Rand(7'5/10)

What the hell? He actually sounds good? I know ı am gonna sound high while saying this, and you have every right to call me stupid for this, but ı actually prefer him over Vic's Broly.

He ıs the most try hard one ın the list. Since Broly does not have much of a characterization ın Z, him over-acting works to his advantage here. He ıs outright comedic.

His screams are also preety solid. "Kakarotto" scream ıs preety good.

He genually have Badass moments.

If Vic's Broly ıs a monster, Douglas' Broly ıs a expert jerk.

He ıs basically Eng ver of Bin Shimada.

He started very good but a bit rough.

He improved so much ın a so little time, ıts not even funny. He can be creepy, innocent, rough and soft. He can do all of the 4 so easly. He has the best screams. He should been the one who voiced Broly ın Super Broly Movie.

If Vic's Z Broly ıs a Sociopath, than Johnny' ıs a Phsco.

I know the show wouldn't be as good without our heroes messing up to let the villains power up wether intentionally or unintentionally, but just for fun let's rank their screw-ups from worse to most inoffensive:

1-Vegeta: I know the most obvious one is letting Cell reach his perfect form but I'm actually not gonna hold that against him, Semi Perfect Cell was a bum and he had been training for months for someone stronger so it goes well with his character. What I am gonna hold against him forever is robbing us of the most legendary battle between Super Perfect Cell and Gohan just because he decided to completely forget about the dragon balls and have a tantrum with Trunk's death.

2-Krillin: We all know the meme at this point; damning earth just for robo-pussy and all that but at least he pulled her eventually, I guess. Would've been worse had he done this for nothing. Still pretty stupid and also forgets that the dragon balls exist, though.

3-Trunks: This guy has always been framed as smart ever since I was a kid but bro literally had 18 in front of him(who he hates with a passion btw) and instead of blowing her to smithereens, he just tells her to run away. - 'Oh but these androids are not like his timeline, they're good'. Yeah? well he doesn't know that yet lmao. And again, the dragon balls exist.

4-Gohan: Well essentially damning earth to get blown up and getting his dad killed in the process all because he decided to turn into a blood-lusted aura farmer after claiming to be a pacifist, but whatever, that's just his super saiyan dna coupled with his rage boost so who isn't guilty of that in this show.

5-Goku: Well the most obvious one is giving the senzu bean to Cell. The second one is not eating one himself, like why the hell do you bring this damn bag if you're not gonna use it when needed. No wonder the Cell jrs were whooping him just as easy as they did Yamcha and Krillin.

6-Piccolo: He mostly did the right thing always but why do you think interrogating Imperfect Cell is more important than finishing him off? Like, ok you got all the information you wanted but he still got away. Doesn't it make more sense to just murder him now and then ask Trunks or someone later? Anyway, this is pretty mild so I'll let it slide.

7-Tien: Also a perfectly centered and level-headed guy but why did you just stand there watching Piccolo get clipped by Cell, bro? If the tri-beam held Semi-perfect Cell down, imagine what it would've done against Imperfect Cell. I don't know why he didn't intervene sooner but whatever.

8-Android 16: A similar situation like Tien's. If he had a bomb that was allegedly capable of taking down Perfect Cell, then why did he never try to use it against Semi-perfect Cell when he actually had it still. Maybe he thought there was hope still so I guess it's fine.

Anyway, who do you think screw up the most and why?

Playing through the story mode gets kinda old..
