Help me understand!

New to this case and feel like I must be missing a lot of info. How is it possible this Allen guy never committed any other crimes? No history of anything? Nothing violent, not even a bar fight or something? And just escalated to double murder? And then never did it again? This is truly mind blowing to me. I’m sure this guy did it but it’s just so shocking this guy went from zero to double homicide.

And what is the suspected motive? He just always wanted to do it and finally had the opportunity? He snapped?

I’m so very confused.

And how many of those killers are killing strangers and in their mid 40's? Like none.

One comparison (slightly imperfect) is Michella Welch’s killer, Gary Charles Hartman. He was around 35/36 when he raped and murdered Michella, a 12 year old girl who was a stranger to Hartman. Hartman had no criminal record before murdering Michella and had no subsequent run-ins with law enforcement. Like Richard Allen, he led a normal and productive life outside of the murder. When he was arrested in 2022, he had been a nurse for several years.

So only one example and he was more than a decade younger than Allen? See my point this isnt "common," and thank you.

Sexual murders? Perpetrator being Stranger is common.

Sexual murders? Age of the perpetrator being >40 is also common, 20-30%.

Of course fbi lengthy database could be wrong, and you could be right all along.
