Discussion 💬 Struggling to win

I have about 400 hours and most of those hours are on killer. Never have I ever struggled to win more than I have right now. Almost every game by the time I'm halfway through my 1st chase 2-3 generators pop (whether or not the chase is quick or not 1 generator is ensured to pop). It's not like I play D tier killers, I mostly play B or A tier killers with regression. By the time all the generators pop I'm able to get 1-3 hooks and majority of my kills are from survivors screwing up in end game or being greedy. I get 1 or 2 games that I win without it reaching end game then 3-4 where I get 1-2 kills (or zero) where I get kills in the end game. Every game feels like I have to have chases under 30 seconds to even stand a chance (even with tunneling and slugging) with full gen regression perks. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

All the survivors spawn together and, if two of them hop on that gen they spawn near, will complete it in under a minute. The first gen is meant to be fast.

The major thing is that, largely, you need to learn how to better apply pressure. It can be harder to have fast chases with the current pallet count, but spreading hits and knowing when to work in macro control is really the only thing you can do. Having fast chases means nothing if you aren't disrupting other survivors at the same time.

  1. Gen progression is not linear, on any long first chase will get 1-2 gens done. Once you get some pressure on the team the game will naturally slow down.
  2. If you’ve only played 400 hrs and most of that on killer, you need to play more survivor so you get a feel for how they counterplay your killer.
  3. Change up your perks. If you don’t know how to convert hits to downs, the extra time you buy with gen regression isn’t going to help. Think about it this way: If I can’t do complex math, giving me 5 extra minutes on the test isn’t going to help me.

I vastly improved when I just decided each game was to just practice my power and it sounds like you have a decent grasp and just need more practice, just start each game with low expectations and focus on making clever or skilled plays/hits. Don’t worry if all the gens pop cause you practiced your power more in that game and will only improve. Wins will naturally come from lots of good smaller plays

Also I’m a Xeno queen main myself, and yeah play some survivor too
