Main difference is that there is no camp like in current official version, you build house/tent/fire or whatever everywhere where you want to camp, or just sleep under open sky. Crafting doesn't take real time, only in game one. There is more items and stories I think, there is no premium shop, there is no like events I guess? But I'm not sure about it for 100%. Overall experience is better In mod than in current official version.

Day r another story is based on the 1.694 versions (judging by package version). Camps all have traders that exchange mostly renewable goods for no renewable goods and exchanges focused on supporting low level players (Tver can exchange 50 dried meat -> crowbar) There is a retribution story line, it is about triggering Counterattacks against the world for the apocalypse (||which doesn't make sense considering what we are told in Kiev, that the motherland retaliated for mutual assured destruction||) There is a lighthouse up Nikel with some papers or something There is a mine in the mountains down Murmansk that has a strong encounter against ||radioactive scorpions and other insects|| There are plenty other interesting little things such as the ||red wolf|| below Kiev, a submarine somewhere in the world, a giant city far deep into the water and a fun progression imo. I might be wrong since I haven't been able to reach pass Kiev (my hoarder instincts become my strongest enemy) but that's what I've heard

Small objection on the "it doesn't make sense". There is no aggraviated party in a conflic this size that would ever think its all well and done. Imagine you live through an horrific virus that you learn was engineered against your people, your country, and then it rains atomic bombing to booth and the result is that everything you ever knew and loved is now a plagued radioactive wasteland of horrors. "Oh but we bombed them back so we are even" is pretty much something you will not think =)

Fair, it wouldn't be "we are even" but rather "we are all doomed and bombing more would caused pointless effects"

Yeah, that last part is sadly both true and too human =')
