Hi first timer for Dancefest, I’ll be riding in and out everyday with a few friends any tips or tricks to make it as smooth as possible? Also any essentials you know like hydropacs and things of that nature that would make the experience more enjoyable. I’ve attended LL this last 3 years so I’m familiar with the territory. Every fest is a little different though so any advice would be appreciated.

Going to Dancefestopia for the first time this year. Not my first camping fest(been to Bonnaroo a few times). But honestly all my friends moved away that I used to rave with. Wondering if anyone has some space is their group or wouldn’t mind me tagging along to some sets.

Recreated my car camping layout in the sims for my partner in advance to hopefully prevent misunderstandings during setup lol- thought it might be helpful for some who may like a visual of a car camping setup!

i’ll definitely be needing 1-2 wagons for the walk. any tried and true options to suggest? or ones to avoid?

We have a group of about 15 that will be going to Dancefestopia for the first time this year. We've been to many festivals but never to DFT. We're planning on arriving Friday so oI understand that will mean we'll be further away from the venue. We have a few questions.

Camping vs Car-Camping

We're still debating on whether to do car camping or regular camping. Our typical setup is usually 4-6 cars where we set up four 10x10 canopies and portable propane camp stoves to cook.

1. How far/long is the trek from the parking lot to the camping area? What about camping area to venues?
2. How far is the trek from the car camping lot to the venue?
3. Are we allowed to bring coolers with drinks into the camping area with wagons?
4. How likely is it for us to get a space large enough for 15 people in the camping area if we arrive on Friday? Is it hard to find camping spots?
5. Does anyone use a OneWheel or Segway mini there? Assuming they're not allowed, is it enforced?

hey everyone, so i’m not sure if my crew and i will be able to fit all of our stuff just in our car alone so we were thinking of potentially renting a small trailer to attach to the back of our car to help haul our camping gear. will they allow us to park our car there with the trailer attached?? we’re pretty concerned we won’t be able to fit everything. thanks!

Does anyone know how much it was last year to have a golf cart transport your stuff to camp? Debating on buying a wagon or just paying for that

This year will be my first time at DFT and and first event where I have to legit camp without my vehicle right there. I'm wondering how people keep their valuables safe (cash, stash, camping gear) without trekking to the parking lot to lock it in the car. I am especially worried about my portable solar battery because it cost good money and if someone took it I definitely won't be able to afford a new one anytime soon. Does everyone simply shell out for lockers or extend radical trust towards their fellow fest-goers? I tend to assume the best of people but my trust only goes as far as my budget can easily replace...

Opinions:

- Friday is lowkey too stacked?? Watch me miss half my favs when they're either too early or too late.

- PLEASE give Ravenscoon the pre-pre-headliner slot (right before Inzo) on Sunday. We the people deserve that juicy mainstage after dark production.

I’m wondering if the unlimited outdoor actives add-on is worth it! Would love to know what kind of activities they have, it will be my first time going to DFT and first time in Kansas City in general!

EDIT: Tbank you everyone who responded! I’ve decided not to get the passes, we will just explore the rest of the festival instead!

EDIT 2: What would you all recommend to not miss out on? This will be my second festival experience, with the first being EDC Orlando, and I feel like I missed a good bit at EDC. I’m super excited, would just walking around and exploring be a good option to find fun stuff or are there specific spots I should look for?

I was planning on going to my first festival at dancefestopia this year and noticed they had an admission only choice? does that mean I don't have to camp and am allowed to leave the grounds? Would you recommend camping or staying somewhere else? If you stay outside what are some tips I should know?

not sure if I'm gonna go with VIP or not yet, but I'm trying to make it to the Thursday night party
