I have a buddy of mine who's made a lord of pain burn deck and I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to beat a lord of pain burn deck????

Play... any cEDH deck? I think you're in the wrong place, Neither Lord of Pain nor burn are viable strategies in cEDH. Literally any deck any of us play here will absolutely obliterate that deck, but you shouldn't be playing these decks in that kind of pod.

What bracket are you playing?
