I’m inclined to believe she still prefers it aesthetically considering the second option just reads more like being okay with letting it go simply because the Kuuhenki wants to keep it rather than her not wanting to wear it anymore. Since Bina dotes on them like a mother. But given her namecard and profile icon keeps the mask I see no point in getting rid of it personally plus I think she looks more iconic with it lol

Afaik, nothing. It's more symbolical than anything. "I didn't want to see the world" so she keeps her eyes closed, "the world is rejecting me, so i have to change myself" so her mask is just a representation of that sentiment of not fitting in, etc, etc.

They need to give lore why she opens her eyes in the burst or im gonna lose it. You can’t just have a character who never opens her eyes never talks about it, the. One day does it no problem…

She opens them either way. During her normal combat and exploration she has them closed. Doesn't matter if she has the mask or not. In her burst animation she opens them and doesn't have a mask (you can't change that). While her burst is active her eyes open during her normal attacks, now, if she doesn't have the mask equiped she will open them normally. If she does have it equiped, she will open them under the mask and it will look goofy.

They meant opening her eyes permanently without the mask. Cause just an empty face feels wrong. But her eyes should be the "reward" for taking off her mask.

We don’t know yet. I imagine you won’t be locked in on your choice and will have the option to change your mind at least once given Wanderer and Manekin names can be changed at least once.

For me, it'll really depend if she actually keeps her eyes open. If she's going to keep her eyes closed no matter what, might as well keep the mask.

If she's actually going to keep them open, then sure I'll go that route.

She does not keep them open. Only during her burst. Can confirm this because all the beta footage where people were worried she lost her mask was just simply how Columbina looks after choosing to go maskless. Meaning her eyes remain closed still.

I love that they gave us this option, she looks pretty either way but her mask is definitely one of the main things that screams Columbina when you see it

Her eyes still open in burst even when she has the mask on. Likewise outside of her burst her eyes still remain closed 24/7 regardless of if you choose to keep her mask on or off.
